De Souza Takes From Conan

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In what started as a limped battle of the blinds, Belarmino De Souza just completed and Arthur Conan then raised to 3,500 for De Souza to call. The flop fell {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and De Souza checked, which led to a continuation bet worth 2,000 by Conan. De Souza check-raised to 6,000 and that shut down his table neighbour right away.

Christensen Forces Fold From Adams

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action kicked off in a battle of the blinds with Timothy Adams making it 4,000 to go. Pierre Christensen eyeballed the stack of his table neighbour and came along. As they headed to the {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Adams continued for another 4,000 and picked up a call from Christensen.

The {q-Clubs} turn was checked by Adams, who then called a bet worth 10,000. Adams also checked the {k-Hearts} on the river and Christensen now made it 23,500 to go. That sent his opponent in the tank and Adams used two time bank extensions before surrendering.

New Entries and a Bustout

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Japan's Yuma Tominaga was the first player to bust and his elimination triggered a €5,000 bounty award. Many more of these will follow until a champion has been crowned.

In the meanwhile, the field size has increased to 32 entries of which 31 players remain. Some of the new additions can be found below.

Grafton Takes From Kim

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

South Korea's Gab Yong Kim has started well into Day 1 as he already boosted his stack in the first level. He then faced PokerStars ambassador Sam Grafton in a battle button versus under the gun. Grafton led the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs} turn for 9,000 and Kim came along. The {j-Diamonds} on the river was checked and Grafton turned over {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of kings.

Kim nodded and conceded the pot to the Brit.

Achegsei Beats Dzivielevski in Showdown

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Heads-up to the {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} turn, Ahmad Achegsei made it 11,500 to go out of the small blind. He was only called by Yuri Dzivielevski on the button and the duo then checked down the {k-Hearts} on the river. Achegsei was the first to act and tabled the {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a rivered top pair. Dzivielevski studied the board for a second and sent his cards into the muck.

Dimov Gets Some Chips Back

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} turn, Zhong Chen in the big blind checked. The same applied for Ognyan Dimov and Paul Newey, the latter of which was in the cutoff. All three players checked the {9-Diamonds} on the river and Chen tabled the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Dimov had that beat with the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Newey mucked his cards.

Second Batch of Entries

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The field is now up to 23 entries and a fourth table will open soon. Among those to sit down recently was also Spanish poker prodigy Adrian Mateos along with the well-known Brazilian online grinders Belarmino De Souza and Rodrigo Sirichuk.

Three-Bet Pot for Kulev

Nível 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ognyan Dimov opened the action with a button raise to 2,500 and then faced a three-bet to 11,000 by Alex Kulev in the small blind. DImov opted to call and they headed to the {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop. Both players checked and did so again on the {5-Clubs} turn. The {4-Diamonds} river brought no betting action either and Kulev's {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} was good enough to claim the pot.
