Charalambous Gets a Knockout

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Peter Charalambous
Peter Charalambous

Paul Van Oort got his remaining chips in from middle position before the flop against Peter Charalambous, who was in the big blind.

Paul Van Oort: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Peter Charalambous, {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Van Oort's chances were slim and got even slimmer as the flop fell {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to give Charalambous a set of aces, leaving him in need of running Broadway cards or perfect-perfect to quad queens to stay alive. The turn {8-Diamonds} ended his hopes of either possibility happening, leaving him drawing dead as the river {4-Spades} fell to finish the runout.

A few moments later, Charalambous was seen winning a small pot against Gaelle Baumann at showdown after he announced ace high, which proved to be good as Baumann looked back at her own cards and then congratulated Chralambous on a nice hand as she sent her cards to the muck.

The pot brought Charalambous up to 186,000, and while Baumann did not win the hand, she has appeared to have chipped up to 180,000 recently, bringing her well above the average stack with around 160 players remaining in the field.

Snejberg Takes From Dziubdziela

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Marcin Dziubdziela defended out of the blinds against Josef Snejberg and check-called a bet of 7,000 on the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} turn and they headed to the {k-Hearts} river. Dziubdziela checked once more and Snejberg carefully cut out a bet of 19,000 and forced a snap-fold.

Landi Dusted by Krakow

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Enrico Landi went all in for his last 14,500 and action folded around to Matan Krakow, who was in the big blind and tossed out calling chips.

Enrico Landi: {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Matan Krakow: {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Landi shrugged as he watched the flop drop {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, realizing his fate was drawing nearer. The turn came {k-Hearts}, removing his live cards from the list of outs that would keep him alive due to two pair on the board. He would need the river to bring a king or a nine to put a full house on board to remain in the tournament, but was unable to find any luck as the final card {q-Hearts} was turned over to lock up the pot for Krakow and send Landi to the rail.

Leibgorin Gets Even Shorter

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

It was not long ago that Michel Leibgorin had been miles ahead the rest of the pack with around 300k but the Frenchman has not only dropped back into the middle of it but even below the average right now after he doubled Deividas Kvaselis.

With 55,000 in the middle, Leibgorin pushed and Kvaselis eventually called from one seat over with the far shorter stack.

Leibgorin tabled the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and Kvaselis doubled with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for tens and deuces.

"I thought you had something like that," Leibgorin said in table chat.

Aguad Vladislavich Fires Three Streets

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Carlos Aguad Vladislavich saw action folded to him on the button and opened to 6,000. The big blind defended and the two saw a flop of {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs}.

The big blind checked to Aguad Vladislavich, who made a continuation-bet of 7,000 and received a call. The turn was {7-Spades} and the big blind checked again. Aguad Vladislavich continued, betting another 11,000. His opponent went into the tank for over a minute and then threw out chips to call.

The river fell {q-Diamonds} and the big blind checked one final time. Aguad Vladislavich kept his foot on the gas, firing out another 15,000. His opponent thought for a few seconds and then let his hand go.

Burneikis Gets Another Knockout

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Vladas Burneikis had opened from early position and saw a player three-bet all in for 18,300 from the button, which he quickly called.

All-In Player: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Vladas Burneikis: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The two were in a classic coin flip situation as the flop came {3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}, giving Burneikis four more outs to Broadway in addition to the six aces or queens that would give him a bigger pair than his opponent's nines. The turn {k-Hearts} filled Burneikis up to Broadway, leaving his opponent drawing dead as the river {3-Hearts} came to complete the runout and earn him the pot

Pertea Runs Out of Chips

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Down to 34,700, Marius Pertea moved all in and was eventually called by Einar Stikholmen.

Marius Pertea: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Einar Stikholmen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} board left Pertea drawing dead on the turn and he headed to the rail.
