Chidwick Over a Million

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a pot of around 200,000, Yuan Li checked to Stephen Chidwick who bet 185,000.

Li used two time extensions before calling but looked disappointed when Chidwick revealed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a rivered pair of queens.

Chidwick moves above one million in chips just before the second break of the day.

Something for Everyone

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Derek Ip
Derek Ip

Sam Greenwood opened to 20,000 from under the gun and was called by Derek Ip in the cutoff and Kahle Burns in the small blind. Juan Pardo three-bet to 90,000 in the big blind and all three players called.

The flop of {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} was spread across the felt and the action checked to Ip who shipped all in for 71,000. Burns and Pardo both called and Greenwood got out of the way.

The turn brought the {a-Hearts} and both Burns and Pardo checked to the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Burns tossed in a small bet of 60,000 to create a side pot and Pardo looked him up. Burns tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for trip fours while Pardo showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Ip was holding {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} which mean Burns collected everything and Ip was eliminated.

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Michael Soyza raised to 16,000 in early position and was called by Stephen Chidwick and Ben Heath in the blinds. The flop came {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and the blinds checked to Soyza who bet 20,000. Chidwick called and Heath stepped aside.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and Soyza fired out another 31,000. Chidwick jammed all in and Soyza called off his stack of around 140,000. Chidwick showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a combo draw while Soyza held {a-}{q-} for two pair.

The river was the {6-Spades} and Chidwick made his flush to eliminate Soyza from the tournament.

With a chuckle, Aido showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and was flipping against his compatriot's {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Aido was eliminated.

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Seth Davies raised it up to 16,000 in the hijack and Bryn Kenney defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Kenney check-called a bet of 20,000 from Davies.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {7-Hearts} on the river. Kenney led out for 20,000 and Davies obliged with a call. "A four," Kenney announced but Davies turned over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} to earn the pot.

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

With the elimination of Juha Helppi, the tournament is now redrawing around three tables with 24 players remaining.

Badziakouski Wins a Flip

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 17,000 and Sergio Aido re-raised to 42,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Badziakouski moved all in for 212,000. Aido quickly called and the cards were on their backs.

Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Sergio Aido: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip and Badziakouski took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn left Aido drawing to two outs and the {10-Spades} on the river was not one of them.

Defending Champion Eibinger Eliminated; Thorel Leads

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Matthias Eibinger
Matthias Eibinger

Defending champion Matthias Eibinger was all in for 53,000 and had been called by Day 1 chip leader Kahle Burns.

Matthias Eibinger: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Kahle Burns; {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Spades} offered a little bit of everything. Burns had flopped top pair and the nut flush draw, but was still behind to the bottom set of Eibinger.

The turn {2-Spades} completed Burns' flush draw.

"Oh come on," said Eibinger, imploring the river card to pair the board, but it came the {10-Clubs} and he was eliminated.

Here are the chip counts for his table, with Thorel still leading with over 900,000 in chips.
