Kovalski Eliminated by Ivarsson

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

One year ago, Fabiano Kovalski narrowly missed out on the final table here in Barcelona and finished 11th. He followed that up with another deep run but was just sent to the rail at the end of the second level on Day 3.

In a classic race, Kovalski was all in for around 275,000 against Alexander Ivarsson.

Fabiano Kovalski: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Alexander Ivarsson: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop left Kovalski in desperate shape and he failed to hit a miracle on the {5-Spades} turn and {2-Hearts} river.

Gnanasambanthan Runner-Runnered

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Joao Studart raised to 17,000 in middle position and Ajay Gnanasambanthan three-bet shoved 121,000 to his direct left. Studart burned through one time extension before calling it off, and saw he was behind.

Ajay Gnanasambanthan: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Joao Studart: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop kept Gnanasambanthan way ahead but a {k-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river completed a backdoor flush to end the American's tournament with a bad beat.

"Nice to play with you, unlucky man," Joshua Jones remarked.

Raich Takes From Astedt

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action folded to Ivan Raich who limped from the small blind. Niklas Astedt raised to 20,000 from the big blind and Raich stuck around with a call.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Raich checked. Astedt bet 13,000 and Raich check-called. The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and both players opted to check it to the {k-Spades} river. This time, Raich led out with a bet of 29,000 and Astedt called. Raich tabled {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for aces and kings and Astedt tossed his cards in the muck.

Martirosian Moves Up the Counts

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

A player opened to 13,000 and Artur Martorisian three-bet to 45,000. Bardh Shala used a time extension before moving all in for 125,000.

The initial raiser folded and Martirosian quickly called.

Artur Martirosian: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Bardh Shala: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

There was no help for Shala on the {3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs} board and he was eliminated.

Nedved Felts Urli; Cements Lead

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On the river of a completed board of {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, Johnny Nedved checked out of the big blind and Alexis Urli moved all in from the button for 261,000.

Nedved snap-called and had the best of it with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for the ace-high straight, as Urli was caught bluffing with the {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Kurko Busts Bensadoun

Nível 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The stack of [Removed:119] went in preflop with the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Kimmo Kurko, a former EPT Barcelona Main Event finalist and runner-up in 2013, looked him up with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

On a board of {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}, the kicker played and Bensadoun became the next casualty.
