Schwippert and Dvoress on the Rail

Nível 9 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Daniel_Dvoress

Jan Eric Schwippert was among the bigger stacks at the start of the day but things haven't gone as smoothly for the German. Down to his last 90,000 he was all in with {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} against the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} of Benjamin Pollak and the Frenchman improved to the nut flush on a board of {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} to leave Schwippert drawing dead on the turn.

Soon after, Daniel Dvoress followed. He pushed for just 35,000 and Adrian Mateos called in the big blind.

Daniel Dvoress: {J-Spades}{7-Spades}
Adrian Mateos: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The player at risk once again was drawing dead on the turn with the board running out {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and that reduced the field to the last 33 hopefuls.

Patrik Antonius: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Nick Petrangelo: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The board came {2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Petrangelo doubled up his 69,000 stack.

A total of 158 players out of a field of 3,287 returned to the Pau Casals room at Casino Barcelona for Day 2 of the 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €550 EPT Cup and another Pineapple Flipout for the coveted Platinum Pass was up for grabs. The room was buzzing in preparation for Day 2 of the EPT Cup and the €100,000 Super High Roller, and all tables played one flipout to get to the semi-finals with two tables. Among those were also Jackson White, Yorane Kerignard and Antonina Anapolska, but neither of them was fortunate enough to win their second flip in a row.

In the first semi-final, Mickael Vongsouthi hit a flush with {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to book his seat for the heads-up duel, while Rolando Camardese claimed his spot with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Vongsouthi and Camardese faced off in the final and it was Camardese, who hails from Maastricht in the Netherlands, that won his entry for the 2019 PokerStars Players No Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC) on The Bahamas worth $30,000 in total.

"Nothing," said Winter, tabling {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a flush draw. Sontheimer turned over {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The turn was the {6-Hearts} but the river brought the {4-Clubs}, completing Winter's flush and doubling him up.
