Negreanu Joins; Fatehi Chips Up

Nível 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Matthias Eibinger raised to 4,000 and was called by Ali Reza Fatehi on the button and Daniel Negreanu in the big blind. The flop came {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Negreanu checked, Eibinger bet 2,500 and Fatehi check-raised to 8,500. Negreanu folded and Eibinger tossed in the extra chips.

The {J-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Eibinger checked before folding to a bet of 11,500 by Fatehi.

After the hand was over, Negreanu engaged in some table chat.

"Hey Badziakouski, how's business. You won anything lately?" Negreanu asked over to Mikita Badziakouski, who replied with a grin and confirmed his back-to-back titles at Triton Poker.

"How many did they get there and what was the buy-in?" the PokerStars Team Pro continued and was surprised to find out that more than 50 entries were generated for a buy-in of more than $250,000.

Smith Gets Paid Off by Peters

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

In the last hand of the level over on table one, which in fact lasted six minutes into the break, the action started rather innocent with a three-way flop of {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades}. David Peters had checked out of the big blind and Adrian Mateos bet 3,000, Dan Smith called in the cutoff. Peters check-raised to 14,000 and Mateos folded, however, Smith came along.

The {Q-Spades} appeared on the turn and Peters slowed down, checked. Smith used almost all of his 30 seconds to act and bet 14,000, which Peters called. After the {10-Clubs} river, Peters quickly checked and Smith used one time bank to give himself more room for consideration. He then bet 50,000 and Peters quickly tossed in a single chip for the call.

Smith rolled over the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for a full house and scooped a decent pot.

The {Q-Diamonds} on the river paired the board and Davies now checked. Zinno bet 14,000 and faced a hefty check-raise to 85,000 by Davies, which he called after some thought and within the 30-second shot clock.

Davies showed {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a flush and Zinno claimed the pot with {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a full house.

Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Mikita Badziakouski check-called 3,500 from Pascal Lefrancois on a {7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and then bet 11,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn. Lefrancois called and the river was the {7-Hearts}.

Badziakouski bet 32,000 and Lefrancois then raised to 107,000. Badziakouski used up a time extension before announcing fold, but Lefrancois turned over his hand revealing {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} for a full house.

"Why did you show?" asked Badziakouski.

"You called?" said Lefrancois, before the dealer clarified that he had in fact said fold.

"I heard call," said Sam Greenwood from the far end of the table. "Maybe you should say 'pass' instead."

"But then he might think I'm saying his name!" said Badziakouski.

LeFrancois and Winter Chip Up

Nível 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ali Reza Fatehi made it 2,500 to go first to act and Pascal LeFrancois called from one seat over. Sam Greenwood three-bet to 10,500 in the cutoff and both opponents called. While there had been a three-bet with three players, neither the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop nor the {5-Diamonds} on the turn brought any further betting action.

On the {Q-Hearts} river, Fatehi checked and LeFrancois bet 22,000, which ended up winning the pot without showdown.

Over on table three, Luc Greenwood limped in and Sean Winter in the big blind raised to 4,000, Greenwood called. On the {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, Greenwood checked and called a bet of 3,000. Both the {10-Clubs} turn and the {10-Hearts} river went check, check, and Greenwood flashed {K-Diamonds}{6-}, Winter claimed the pot with {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}.
