Michal Mrakes Busts Out Once

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Michal Mrakes
Michal Mrakes

Yesterday, Czech tournament star Michal Mrakes finished in 5th place in the €1,100 EPT National, good for a €57,840 payday. €5,300 of that money is gone, though, as Mrakes just busted on his first bullet in the Main Event. Already short stacked, Mrakes was all in with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} against the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} of Toby Boas.

The board remained safe up until the river, where the {A-Clubs} popped up to end Mrakes' first attempt. The Czech will be making a quick trip to the cashier's desk and be back for a second attempt.

Setback for Sorrentino

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Raffaele Sorrentino
Raffaele Sorrentino

Defending champion — scratch that: last year's winner — Raffaele Sorrentino was involved in three-way action against Arianna Son and Sam Benoliel. On the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, Sorrentino bet 1,500 and Son was the only caller.

After the {9-Hearts} on the turn went check/check, Sorrentino called a 3,500 bet from Son on the {4-Hearts} river. Chips he wouldn't be receiving back, as Son flipped over {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for nines full.

Tiede Catches Cruel Run Out to Bust

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Two shorter stacks went at war preflop and it was Florian Tiede that ended up at risk for around 9,500 with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. His table neighbor Nabil Sasso had him barely covered and shook his head with a smile, ready to muck the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} already. The {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop was no threat either, but the {9-Hearts} turn and {J-Hearts} river gave Sasso an unlikely straight and Tiede a bad beat story to tell.

Hissou Takes a Big Hit

Nível 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Sirzat Hissou bet 1,100 out of the big blind and Karim Souaid raised it up to 3,000 on the button. Hissou called and checked the {4-Diamonds} turn, Souaid bet 4,500 and was called. After the {9-Diamonds} river, Hissou gave it some thought and moved all in, which Souaid snap-called in a matter of a second.

Hissou rolled over {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} for trips nines, while Souaid had {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for a full house to double for 13,500.

Le Vaillant Wins Kings Against Aces, Lascar Busts

Nível 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Alexandre Le Vaillant was all in for 24,000 and heavily behind with {K-}{K-} against {A-}{A-}. However, the needed king appeared during the {9-}{K-}{2-}{10-}{Q-} to give the French pro the double up.

At another table, David Lascar was all in for 7,700 in a small blind against button situation versus Ilia Mikhailov. Lascar had {A-Spades}{6-Spades} and was up against Mikhailov's {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}, but no more than one six popped up: {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}.

As we enter the second break, last year's runner-up Andreas Klatt has been distancing himself from the pack and is now at 102,000.

Bendik Drops to Treccarichi

Nível 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Jan Bendik
Jan Bendik

With the board reading {5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Jan Bendik checked to Walter Treccarichi who bet 3,600. Bendik check-called to see the river {4-Clubs} appear and once again checked. Treccarichi settled on a bet of 6,500 which the 2016 champion paid off after some hesitation.

Treccarichi showed {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and an angered Bendik flung {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} open into the muck.
