Demirdjian Skyrockets as Ruivo Falls

After a big clash with Manuel Ruivo, Mark Demirdjian has reclaimed the number one spot he held on Day 1a. It was Demirdjian who opened the action to 7,000 and Maxim Panyak who called in middle position.
Behind Panyak, Ruivo three-bet to 32,000, Demirdijan four-bet to 84,000, Panyak folded, Ruivo five-bet shoved 235,000 and Demirdjian called quickly.

Despite starting the hand with an above average stack, things were looking grim for Ruivo in order to make the money. He needed a queen if he was to make the money, but the dealer didn't oblige and fanned out a 
board to end Ruivo's run. Demirdjian soared to 790,000 after the hand.
