Zaichenko Busts

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Andrey Zaichenko, who won this event back in 2014 and who started the day second in chips, has been eliminated. The man who plays online as "Kroko-dill" shoved his last 85,000 in with {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} from middle position. Samy Ouellani looked him up with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} from the button and faded aces and queens to knock out the Russian: {4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}.

A Five to Stay Alive

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ari Engel (under the gun) got his last 188,000 in the middle with {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The one defying him was Andreas Samuelsson (button) with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. The {2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} helped Engel and Samuelsson was knocked down to just over 100,000 in chips.

Chidwick Eliminated

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick shoved his last 74,000 in and Matas Cimbolas looked at his cards in the big blind.

"This might be a slowroll," he said with a smile as he thought. "All right, let's do this."

Cimbolas: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Chidwick: {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Cimbolas was behind but saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

"That's a nice flop," he observed.

The {10-Hearts} turn wasn't as great as Chidwick picked up outs, but Cimbolas called for an eight on the end and got the {8-Spades}.

Hansen Gets Value from Mateos

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Tue Ullerup Hansen bet 65,000 from the cutoff against two opponents in the blinds on a {5-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board. Only small blind Adrian Mateos called. The river was a {6-Spades} and Hansen bet 145,000 after Mateos checked. The Spaniard flicked in a fast call, but he couldn't beat {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} for top set.

Simunic Busts Yaroshevskyy

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Igor Yaroshevsky
Igor Yaroshevsky

Igor Yaroshevskyy got it in good for his last 53,000, showing {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} up against the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} of Josip Simunic. The {2-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds} made things already a bit iffy, and the {10-Clubs} on the turn didn't help much either. The river {4-Spades} completed Simunic's flush and Yaroshevskyy packed his bags and headed for the exit.

Guerrero Eliminates Hamarash

Nível 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Karzan Hamarash got his last chips in with {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} of Jimmy Guerrero. The board came all blanks with {7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} and the tournament was another player lighter.

Aido Doubles (With Some Luck)

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Steven Thompson Vila (cutoff) and Sergio Aido (button) got their chips in the middle before the flop. Vila had the dominating {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} as Aido tabled {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}.

The {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}-flop gave Aido a gutshot to broadway. The {4-Clubs} on the turn was a blank but the {J-Hearts} on the river filled up the pothole in Aido's straight and he doubled his 271,000-stack.

Wyraz Eliminates Machon

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Grzegorz Wyraz just busted former big stack Bartlomiej Machon with {q-}{q-}. Machon's hand was already in the muck, and the board had run out {7-}{k-}{3-}{4-}{a-}.

Miracle Double for Finger

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Martin Finger shoved from the cutoff for about 260,000 over a Niall Farrell open. In the small blind, Stephen Thompson Vila woke up with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and isolated Finger, who showed down about the worst-case hand for himself: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Someone said they were feeling it, but {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flopped.

"Not feeling it any more," Finger said with a laugh.

However, the turn came a {10-Diamonds} and he had a chance if a queen fell. That's exactly what happened as the {q-Spades} hit, much to everyone's amazement.
