2016 PokerStars.com EPT Season 13 Malta
Nível: 11
Blinds: 800/1,600
Ante: 200
Maria Ho chats with PokerNews about her poker travels in Israel, Cabo, Vancouver, South Africa, and now Malta
The first two levels of 75 minutes are done and dusted and six further players registered for the 2016 PokerStars.com EPT13 Malta Main Event. Along with two no-shows, the field size was set with 468 and the top 87 spots will get paid at least €8,070 for their efforts, whereas the winner will receive a payday of €355,700.
It all started with a bang, as William Kassouf endured a deja vu from the 2016 Main Event when he ran with kings into aces, Vladimir Troyanovskiy busted with deuces in the same hand as well. [Removed:17] got his short stack in good with ace-queen, but Roberto Romanello's ![]()
spiked a jack on the board to bust the €25,750 Super High Roller champion.
Another surprise exit in the first level of the day was the elimination of Jakub Michalak. The Pole, who won the €10,300 Single-Day High Roller last night, sent his stack over to Guillaume Valle and the Frenchman ended level 12 with a massive stack of 290,000 - good enough for the lead.
Georgios Zisimopoulos lost a flip against Guillaume Diaz and Charlie Carrel also joined the rail in the second level of Day 2. Other casualties included the sole remaining PokerStars Team Pro George Danzer, Koray Aldemir, Paul-Francois Tedeschi, Mikhail Petrov, Russell Thomas and IPT Malta High Roller champion [Removed:551].
Among the big stacks after level 12 are Dan Shak (260,000), Xixiang Luo (240,000), Dominik Panka (220,000), Piotr Franczak (210,000), Davidi Kitai (190,000), Sarah Herzali (185,000), Roberto Romanello (180,000) and Ismael Bojang (180,000) and Frederik Jensen (170,000). Bojang doubled through Ludovic Geilich with set against flush draw, Geilich recovered to around 80,000by now.
Another two levels will be played for today and 160 hopefuls remain, it is likely that the money may be reached throughout Day 2 still.
Aykutalp Yilmaz raised to 2,500 from middle position. Former WSOP Main Event runner-up Martin Staszko called on the button, Peter Ockenden called in the small blind and Benjamin Pollak called in the big blind. The flop was ![]()
