It didn't take long for two of the top players in the field to clash. UK standout Stephen Chidwick and Poker Hall of Fame member John Juanda are seated next to each other, and the personal battle heated up in just the first minute of play.
The hand started with a Juanda under the gun raise that Chidwick defended in the big blind. Chidwick checked the 
flop, calling when Juanda continued for 8,000. Chidwick checked again on the 
turn, but pulled out the old check-raise when Juanda fired 24,500 at the pot.
Chidwick made it a healthy 65,000, and after counting out his remaining chips, Juanda folded, handing the first battle in this war to Chidwick.
