More Counts; Jacobson Doubles

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In a preflop all in, Johannes De Vries had 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Martin jacobson at risk for 38,900 chips with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} only to find himself up against a slightly bigger pocket pair. Jacobson's {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} held up on a board of {J-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the Swede doubled.

"Oh, I have chips left?" a surprised De Vries asked.

Brito Wins 9-handed Limp Pot

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

As my eyes scouted the table I saw each player with 1,200 chips in front of them and each still holding two hole cards. "Nine-handed" said Paul-Francois Tedeschi as he saw my bemused expression.

The nine players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, and they all checked, using increasingly more elaborate hand gestures.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and this time Fernando Brito bet 2,000 and go two callers. The three remaining players all checked the {6-Clubs} river and Brito turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to the amusal of the table. One of the other players, Mignot, turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and the laughter grew. With that hand Brito took a small but comical pot and added it to his stack

Van Zadelhoff Doubles With Pointy Hats

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Steven van Zadelhoff
Steven van Zadelhoff

In middle position, Steven van Zadelhoff raised to 2,600. Two spots over in the cutoff, Christoph Vogelsang three-bet to 7,000, while still stacking his chips as it was his first hand on the table after being moved. Action folded around to Van Zadelhoff and he moved all in for 24,200. Vogelsang called instantly.

Steven van Zadelhoff: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Christoph Vogelsang: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The {6-Hearts} in the window was a bit scary at first for Van Zadelhoff, but he was in the clear as the board came {6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

"Just waiting for the pointy hats" Van Zadelhoff said with a smile, nicknaming pocket aces like they were gnome's headgear.

Hold Me Closer Tiny Danzer

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
George Danzer
George Danzer

George Danzer made it 3,000 under the gun and got three callers. The big blind checked the {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, as did Danzer, before big stack Ivan Banic made it 3,500.

The big blind called before Danzer shoved in for his last 23,000. Banic made the call, showing the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} after the big blind folded. Danzer had flopped a set of jacks with his {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and looked good for the double before the {a-Diamonds} turn ruined his day, giving Banic the bigger set.

The {2-Spades} river was just dirt on the Team PokerStars Pro's grave and as Danzer hit the exit, Banic moved up to a spot at the top of the chip counts.

Three Way All-In Means Banic Chips Up

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Harpreet Gill and was three-bet by Ivan Banic. It folded to the Max Greenwood in late position who moved all-in, a moved which was copied moments later by Harpreet Gill. Action was back on Banic who made the call to put the other two players at risk.

Gill: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Greenwood: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Banic: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

There was no help for anyone on a board of {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and Banic's kings held ensuring he eliminated two players at once

Tang Beats Wang; Miracle Time

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Chi Daniel Tang was down to 6,000 chips earlier and had doubled, now he shoved all in for 12,200 and Michael Wang called out of the small blind. Tang's {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} was flipping against {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and the board ran out {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} to award the pot to the Brit.

Iliodoros Kamatakis took care of Jeremy Wray, who had previously doubled up his tiny stack with king-jack versus king-queen and then got it in with {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Kamatakis held the {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and the board came {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} to bust Wray.
