We saw Jason Mercier join the field a short while ago, and at his table he was speaking with Andrew Lichtenberger about his recent trip to Thailand.
"There was an elephant eating a banana out of my pants," he said. "I got picked out of the crowd and got this massage from one of them."
"It's amazing what they can do," he added. "There was an elephant who could throw darts 50 feet and another kicking soccer balls!"

Sean Winter was the initial raiser from early position; he made it 3,500 to go. Ivan Luca made the call from the hijack seat, and then Joao Vieira squeezed to 13,200 on the button. Both opponents made the call and headed to a three-way flop of . The action was checked to Vieira, and he made it 21,200 to go. Only Winter called.
The appeared on the turn, and now Winter led with a bet of 36,000, which was good enough to take down the pot after Vieira let it go.
Having lost that pot, Vieira has lost more than one-third of his stack already.

Both players checked the on the turn, and the completed the board. McDonald made a bet of 20,000, and Drinan called.
McDonald showed the , and Drinan mucked.

There may be no snow in Dublin right now, but the temperatures are far from the ones of summer. Sean Winter won't mind though, as the American has experienced a decent start in this €25,750 High Roller Event. Plus, he took down another pot just now.
Christoph Vogelsang raised to 3,300 and was called by Paul Newey, who was on the button. Winter three-bet to 16,000 from the small blind, and Ivan Luca called from the big bling. Vogelsang and Newey both folded.
On the flop, Winter continued for 18,500 and was called by Luca before both players checked the turn card. With the river completing the board, Winter bet 69,500, and that was enough to shut down Luca's ambition to win the pot.
While Winter is among the bigger stacks in the room, he is not currently in the lead. That spot belongs to Kim Wittendorff, who just check-raised a flop, fired a turn, then shoved the river on a successful bluff against Sam Greenwood to rake in a big pot.

Joining the action on the three-way flop of , Niall Farrell checked, and Jeff Rossiter bet 12,000. Sam Chartier and Farrell called to see the on the turn. Again it was Rossiter who bet, this time for 30,000, and both opponents called. With the hitting the board on the river, the action was checked to Chartier and the French Canadian bet a hefty 115,000. Neither Farrell nor Rossiter were willing to call and the pot went to Chartier.
