Cowboys for Vamplew

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With 7,000 already in the pot and a board reading {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Alexandre Amiel checked from the big blind and David Vamplew bet 4,000 from middle position. Amiel made the call and then both players checked the {10-Clubs} river. Amiel tabled the {9-Spades}{3-Spades} for missed spades but a pair of nines. Unfortunately for him, it was no good as Vamplew held the {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} in the hole.

Trip Kings Good For Igor

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Istvan Birizdo was under the gun and he raised to 600. Two players folded, and Tsymbal Igor called. Marco Caza called in the big blind and the dealer spread the {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} flop. Caza checked, Birizdo bet 1,100, and Igor raised to 3,000. This raise folded out Caza, but Birizdo called.

Both players checked the {9-Spades} turn and then the {K-Hearts} river, Igor showing {K-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and beating the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} of Birizdo.

"Thought I Had Pocket Fives"

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

With around 4,000 in the pot and a board reading {5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, EPT12 Malta champ Niall Farrell bet 4,500 and received a call from his lone opponent.

Farrell confidently slapped over his cards... the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

"Thought I had pocket fives," he said with all sincerity. The rest of the table got a good laugh and commented they all thought he did too with how confidently he tabled his hand.

"I almsot mucked you were so confident," the winner of the hand admitted. Despite losing the hand, Farrell joined in the laughter.

Moneymaker Pays It Off

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

In the very last hand of Level 3, a player in early position raised to 525 and Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker three-bet from the small blind to what appeared to be 2,100. His opponent called, and then action went check-check on the {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop.

The {10-Clubs} turn saw Moneymaker check-call a bet of 2,300, and then he checked for a third time on the {3-Spades} river. The early-position player tossed out a big bet of 5,675, and Moneymaker thought for a solid minute before making the call. His opponent rolled over the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair, and it was good as Moneymaker sent his cards to the muck.

Nekrasov Predicts His Own Demise

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Carlos Chadha raised to 525 from middle position and it started a chain reaction of calls and bets that ultimately cost Evgeny Nekrasov his tournament life.

First, Martin Hanowski called to Chadha's immediate left, then Nekrasov called to Hanowski's left. Christopher Lockhart called, then Louis Salter raised to 2,800 from the small blind. Salter's raise was enough to fold out Chadha, but Hanowski called. Nekrasov then moved all-in for 6,850, folding out Lockhart, but Salter put in another raise, which Hanowski folded to!

Salter: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Nekrasov: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Nekrasov was a firm favorite to more than double his stack, and that remained the case on the {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board. However, for reasons only known to him, Nekrasov called for a king on the river, and the Poker Gods obliged by the way of the {K-Clubs}, sending Nekrasov to the rail.

Hanowski claimed to have folded {8-}{2-} in the chatter that followed.

Former Champ Puts Tournament Life on the Line

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Two years ago, Germany's Julian Track emerged victorious over a 1,007-player field to capture the title in this very event for €725,000.

Track is back looking for more EPT Prague success, and he just put his tournament life on the line. It happened when Canada's Benoit Jean opened for 600 under the gun and action folded to Track, who three-bet to 1,575 from the button. Both blinds folded, Jean four-bet to 4,600, and Track thought for a few moments before five-betting all in for right around 22,000 total. Jean quickly folded.
