Jeremy Ausmus Eliminated in 7th Place (€188,000)

Nível 26 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Jeremy Ausmus - 7th Place
Jeremy Ausmus - 7th Place

Hand #88: Jeremy Ausmus moved all in for 930,000 from the cutoff and Max Altergott called off from the big blind.

Ausmus: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Altergott: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Altergott woke up with the goods, and he was shipped the double after the board ran out {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Ausmus was left with just 265,000 after the hand.

Hand #89: Steve O'Dwyer raised to 130,000 from the under-the-gun position and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #90: Ausmus moved all in for his last 245,000 from middle position and action folded to O'Dwyer, who thought long and hard before calling from the big blind.

Ausmus: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
O'Dwyer: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

It was a flip, and Ausmus was just looking to hold. That proved easier said than done though as the flop came down {6-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} to give O'Dwyer a pair of eights. Neither the {K-Clubs} turn nor {K-Hearts} river helped Ausmus, and he made his way to the payout desk to collect €188,000 for his seventh-place finish.

Ausmus Shoves the River

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #79: Imad Derwiche shoved all in from the button and won.

Hand #80: Steve O'Dwyer opened to 105,000 in middle position and won.

Hand #81: Jeremy Ausmus shoved for 615,000 and won.

Hand #82: O'Dwyer opened to 100,000 and folded to Max Altergott's 515,000 shove in the small blind.

Hand #83: Ausmus raised to 100,000, and Andrey Andreev called in the small blind. Andreev check-called 100,000 on the {9-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and 135,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn. He checked the {7-Clubs} river, and Ausmus slid his stack of 380,000 in. Andreev folded.

Hand #84: Derwiche got a walk.

Hand #85: Charlie Carrel raised to 100.000 and Andreev called. They checked down the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Carrel won with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Hand #86: O'Dwyer opened to 105,000 in the hijack and took it down.

Hand #87: Ausmus opened to 100,000 on the button. Both blinds called, and Carrel bet 125,000 on the {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop into both of his opponents. That was enough to win the pot.

Do the Big Slick Chop

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #73: Max Altergott moved all in under the gun and won the pot.

Hand #74: Steve O'Dwyer raised to 115,000 from middle position and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #75: Jeremy Ausmus raised to 100,000 from the hijack and Andrey Andreev defended the big blind to see a flop of {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Andreev led out for 200,000 and Ausmus folded.

Hand #76: Charlie Carrel raised to 100,000 from the hijack, Andreev called from the small blind, and O'Dwyer came along from the big. All three players checked the {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, and then O'Dwyer bet 175,000 after Andreev checked the {8-Clubs} turn. Both his opponents folded.

Hand #77: Carrel raised to 100,000 from middle position and Andreev called from the button. Both blinds folded and the two players checked it down as the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Carrel tabled the {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Andreev mucked.

Hand #78: Carrel raised to 150,000 under the fun and Andreev called from the cutoff. The latter called a bet of 175,000 on the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, and then bet 150,000 after Carrel checked the {10-Clubs} turn. Carrel woke up with a check-raise to 300,000, Andreev called, and then both players checked the {8-Diamonds} river.

Carrel showed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, and he ended up chopping the pot as Andreev held the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

Sammartino Doubles Through O'Dwyer

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #69: Imad Derwiche opened to 125,000 under the gun, and Steve O'Dwyer called in the big blind. O'Dwyer checked the {2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Derwiche bet 225,000. O'Dwyer jammed to put Derwiche at risk and got a fold.

Hand #70: Andrey Andreev opened to 100,000 on the button and got calls from O'Dwyer and Derwiche. Everyone checked the flop, and O'Dwyer bet 115,000 on the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and won the pot.

Hand #71: Andreev raised to 100,000 in the cutoff. Jeremy Ausmus gave him some action from the big blind but then check-folded to 100,000 on the {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Hand #72: Dario Sammartino opened for 100,000 under the gun, and O'Dwyer three-bet to 285,000. Sammartino shoved for 695,000, and O'Dwyer called.

O'Dwyer: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Sammartino: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Sammartino flopped three clubs with {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, closing out some of O'Dwyer's equity. The {q-Diamonds} turn meant O'Dwyer needed a king on the river, but he got a worthless {a-Spades} instead.

Shovin' Steve Has Come to Play

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #63: Dario Sammartino raised to 115,000 from the hijack and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #64: Andrey Andreev raised to 100,000 from the cutoff and then folded when Steve O'Dwyer three-bet jammed for 610,000 from the button. O'Dwyer showed the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Hand #65: Imad Derwiche opened for 125,000 from the button and swiped the blinds.

Hand #66: Max Altergott raised to 100,000 under the gun and folded after O'Dwyer three-bet all in from the hijack.

Hand #67: O'Dwyer raised to 110,000 from middle position and Altergott defended his big blind. Altergott check-called a bet of 100,000 on the {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop, and then both players checked the {2-Spades} turn as well as the {10-Spades} river. Altergott showed the {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for kings and sixes, but it was no good as O'Dwyer had a flush with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

Hand #68: O'Dwyer raised to 110,000 from under the gun and Andreev called from the big blind. The {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop saw Andreev check-call a bet of 135,000, and then he check-called one of 290,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn. Andreev checked for a third time on the {5-Hearts} river, and O'Dwyer took the opportunity to move all in for 750,000. Andreev gave it some thought, but ultimately conceded the hand.

"Sick bluff," Charlie Carrel said. O'Dwyer did not show.

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #59: Max Altergott raised to 100,000 under the gun, and Andrey Andreev called from his left, as did Charlie Carrel in the small blind. Altergott continuation-bet 135,000 on the {2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, and both opponents called. Everyone checked the {5-Spades}, and the {2-Spades} two-paired the board; Carrel bet 275,000, and Andreev called after Altergott folded.

Carrel showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, and Andreev mucked {3-}{3-} face-up.

Hand #60: Andreev raised to 100,000 under the gun and won the pot.

Hand #61: Carrel raised to 100,000, and Dario Sammartino shoved for 505,000 on the button. He won the pot

Hand #62: Carrel opened for 100,000 again, and Andreev called in the small blind. Steve O'Dwyer called in the big, and everyone checked to the river when the board read {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Andreev bet 300,000, and O'Dwyer quickly folded. Carrel tried to get a read but folded as well.

Andreev showed the {7-Hearts}.

Season 11 EPT Player of the Year Races Coming Down To the Wire

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Beyond all of the tournament titles that everyone guns for on the European Poker Tour, many strive to win the PokerStars EPT Player of the Year award.

Powered by the Global Poker Index, the EPT Player of the Year award is broken down into three tiers. According to EPT.com, "the Silver tier will award points for all events with a buy-in of $600 and lower; the Gold tier will award points for all events with a buy-in of $3,000 and lower; and the Platinum tier will count all events across the EPT Festivals, no matter the buy-in, so every EPT player can take their shot at Player of the Year glory."

Points are accumulated using the GPI formula — "an independent points scoring system that ranks live tournament poker players." There are a few factors that apply to the formula, and you can learn about how it all works by clicking here.

As it stands right now, Dzmitry Urbanovich leads the Platinum level with 3,457.79 points. He's over 160 points of Joao Vieira in second place, and then Vladimir Troyanovskiy is the only other player above 3,000. In a note to the media from PokerStars, Urbanovich was quoted as saying that the award "means more to me than the money."

With the festival coming to a close, all members in the top 10 have been seen trying to squeak out every last-second points they can. Urbanovich is definitely one of those grinding away in the tournament room, and although he has a solid lead, there could certainly be some movement and pressure at Season 11 comes to a close.

Urbanovich also tops the Gold standings, and he's up again over Vieira. This time, though, Urbanovich is over 350 points ahead of his counterpart, so his lead is slightly more comfortable.
