Cary Katz was already all in by the time we reached the table, and Vladimir Shchemelev and Antonio Esfandiari had him at risk. The two still had chips to bet with on a flop of , and after a series of betting the rest went in the middle.
Katz:
Esfandiari:
Shchemelev:
"Not eights," Katz sighed at the sight of Shchemelev's hand.
The turn was the , adding four more gut-shot outs for Katz, and the spiked on the river to give him a straight.
Esfandiari had Shchemelev well-covered, however, and the Russian hit the rail.
On an adjacent table, Zachary Hyman was eliminated with unknown action.

For once in their exceptional young lives, the likes of Jason Mercier, Isaac Haxton, Sorel Mizzi and Tony Gregg are just average, plain average. Allow PokerStars Blog to explain.
We arrived at the table to find Lawrence Greenberg all in and at risk for about 360,000 before the flop. Greenberg held and was looking for help against PokerStars Team Pro Vanessa Selbst's .
The board ran out and Greenberg was unable to improve. He took to the rail and Selbst collected his chips. She's now sitting on about 740,000.

The turn was the , both players checked, and the completed the board. Selbst checked a third time, and Bonomo reached for chips before ultimately checking behind.
Selbst rolled over for a pair of kings, and Bonomo flicked his hand into the muck.
"You were reaching for those green chips," Selbst said, grinning.

Ole Schemion raised to 30,000 from late position and found a single call from PokerStars Team Online member Isaac Haxton from the button.
The flop came down and Schemion continued out for 40,000. Haxton flatted and the fell on fourth street. Schemion continued his aggression with a bet of 111,000 and Haxton stuck around once again.
The finished off the community cards and Schemion announced an all in bet. Haxton leaned back in his seat and thought for a moment. This was a bet a for Haxton's tournament life and he pondered his action for about thirty seconds.
Ultimately, Haxton tossed a few chips forward which signified a call. Schemion confidently rolled over for a flopped set of queens. Haxton dropped his cards in the muck and was eliminated from play. Schemion scooped up Haxton's remaining chips which looked to be about 410,000.
Schemion is now toward the top of the chip counts with about 1.41 million.

Matt Glantz has eliminated two players, and were are now down to the final two tables of 16.
On the first hand, the action folded to Glantz in the small blind, and he eyed Guy Laliberté's stack in the big blind. Knowing his opponent was short, Glantz grabbed a handful of green T25,000 chips and splashed them forward. Laliberté moved all in, for a little more, and Glantz instantly called.
Glantz:
Laliberté:
The board came , and Laliberté was eliminated.
"See you all at [The Big One for] ONE DROP," he said with a smile.
The very next hand, Noah Schwartz three-bet shoved over an open from Glantz. Glantz called with , which was racing against Schwartz's . The flop didn't connect with Glantz's holdings, but the on the turn gave him six extra outs to make the best hand. Any five or seven on the river would counterfeit Schwartz's lowly pair of deuces.
The river was the , and Schwartz was sent packing.
While Glantz was collecting chips from the consecutive knockouts, a big hand happened on the neighboring table:
