Martin Jacobson, a man better known for taking runner-up finishes in EPT Main Events, took the trophy in the €2k Hybrid, which mixed standard laddered payments and seats into the EPT Grand Final. Jacobson won €17,590 on top of his €10,600 EPT Grand Final seat. Other players to have booked their place into EPT Monaco are Farid Jattin, Ariel Celestino, Griffin Benger, Valentino Yasenov Konakchiev and Jose Carlos Garcia.

Johnny Lodden opened to 25,000 from the cut off and was met by three bet from Miroslav Alilovic who made it 62,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Lodden made the call.

The fell on the turn and Alilovic checked to Lodden. The Team PokerStars Pro made a 57,000 bet. Alilovic had other plans though and check raised to 120,000. Lodden called in position and awaited the river.
Meanwhile the clock was ticking down and people were starting to get up from the table to take their break. The
