Stokkan Drawing Dead

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Michel Abecassis opened from middle position and got one caller from the big blind, Norwegian PokerStars player Preben Stokkan. They saw a flop of {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Stokkan checked and then called a bet of 13,000 from Abecassis.

The turn card was the {k-Clubs} and Stokkan checked again. Abecassis bet 22,000 and Stokkan moved all in. Abecassis shrugged and made the call tabling {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}. Stokkan was drawing dead with the river {j-Diamonds} making no difference.

Roy Up to 650

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Jonathan Roy
Jonathan Roy

Jonathan Roy, who has been on a heater as of late, apparently busted Hannu Peltola in a hand where the Finnish player called all in on the river holding {Q-}{J-}. The board was jack high so Peltola had top pair. That hand wasn't good enough as Roy tabled kings for the winning hand.
