Day 2 of the €2,200 Eureka High Roller, which saw 66 players from a 455-entry field, played out on Sunday. All of those players were looking to capture their share of a €882,700 prize pool, but three of them ended up leaving empty handed as only 63 spots were slated to get paid.
It took nearly nine hours before the final table was set, and then the first elimination from the final eight, which ended up being PokerStars sponsored Dominik Panka, didn't occur for four hours. Eventually five others fell before play was halted for the night.
That means EPT4 Barcelona finalist Niki Jedlicka and Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov will return on Tuesday at 9.30 p.m. to play down to a winner. They have opted to take continue on Tuesday so both can play Day 1b of the Main Event today.
The pair already cut a deal in which Jedlicka, who holds a slight chip lead, is guaranteed €127,600 while Katchalov has locked up €121,700.
