Two Big Hands from Table 18

Nível 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We were camped out at Table 18 at just the right time as two back-to-back hands unfolded.

In the first, a short-stacked Oliver Price moved all in from middle position for his last 49,000 or so holding the {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. One by one his opponents folded to Gus Hansen, who happened to wake up with the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} in the big blind. "The Great Dane" made the call, and Price failed to find a trey as the board ran out a dry {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

In the very next hand, Mikko Turtiainen moved all in from the cutoff for 39,800 and Poland's Dariusz Paszkiewicz shoved all in over the top from the button. Both blinds folded and Turtiainen discovered the bad news.

Paszkiewicz : {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Turtiainen: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} flop kept Paszkiewicz firmly in the lead, but then the dealer burned and turned the {A-Clubs}. Turtiainen paired his ace and Paszkiewicz was distraught. He slapped the table in frustration and then watched helplessly as the {K-Spades} river left him with just 18,500 in chips.

"Ace-ten is tough," Hansen commented after the hand.
