Soup for Goswin and a Pinch of Salt from Odogwu

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Siemsen Goswin from Germany moved all in for 5,900 and it folded round to big blind Jonathan Odogwu from the UK, who had told PokerNews earlier today when he tripled up with quad threes that he had satellited in for free.

“How much is it?” Odogwu asked. “You’re folding.” responded Goswin.

Odogwu swore that he would look at one of his cards and if it was, “Higher than a deuce, I’m calling.” That got a laugh from the table and when Odogwu said he had better than he thought he made the call turning over {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

“That sounded much worse than it could have been.” said Goswin with the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

The cards ran out {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The king on the turn busted Goswin and saw Odogwu apologise but offer the consolation, ”You can come to Nigeria for soup.”

Jerry the Pacemaker

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a {7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Jerry Odman checked to JC Alvarado who bet 1,300. Ami Barer called before Odman check-raised to 3,600. Alvarado folded and Barer made the call again.

The {J-Spades} turn saw Odman fired 4,600 and Barer cal to see the {J-Hearts} on the river. Odman now checked and Barer grabbed four purple chips and three green ones and threw them into the middle - a bet of 2,075. Odman didn't take too long to call and Barer was forced to show {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Odman picked up the pot with {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Voulgaris Doubles Through Chouity

In the last hand before their table broke, former EPT Grand Final winner Nicolas Chouity and Haralabos Voulgaris managed to get into a raising war, blind on blind, on a {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop with all the money quickly going into the middle.

Chouity: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Voulgaris: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {2-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} were both brutal blanks for the Lebanese player as Voulgaris doubled up to about 60,000, Chouity dropped to about 30,000.

Drinan’s Aces Cracked, Busts

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Connor Drinan
Connor Drinan

Three players had made it to the turn of a board showing {j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Connor Drinan took his time before moving all in for his last 3,000 into a pot of just under 7,000.

Michael Kanaan then raised to 9,000 and Michele Bianchi contemplated the board before folding.

Drinan turned over his {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and asked of Kanaan, “Eights?” It was as he feared the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the river {9-Spades} saw Drinan exit the tournament.

Vogelsang Thinks and Thinks

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Sebastian Saffari opened for 700 under-the-gun and was called by Francesco Delfoco and Laurence Ryan. Chistoph Vogelsang raised to 2,100 from the button and Delfocowas the only one to come along. Vogelsang asked to see his opponents chips and the dealer instructed him to move his arms.

The two players saw a flop of {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. There was a pause while both players thought about what to do and they both checked. The turn card {q-Diamonds} saw Delfoco bet out for 2,200.

Vogelsang now thought about his decision for over two minutes. After that time he looked back at his cards and put his chip back on his cards. Not long after that he folded.

A Gory End for Duhamel

Nível 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

It's the end of the road for Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel, we didn't see the hand but a pair of eights were being taken away from the Canadian and his chips being shipped across to Viacheslav Goryachev.
