Kenny Hallaert had a seventy percent chance of a 110,000 stack, he told us with a big smile. Instead he now plays a stack of around 45,0000 after his kings were outrun by someone's ace-king. Niels van Leeuwen broke French hearts when he emerged victorious in the FPS Main Event. But after celebrating through the night, he played Day 1B of the Main Event with a hangover, requiring frequent trips to the bathroom, and ran up a big stack again. PokerStars blog meets the Dutchman, who has made a dramatic splash at his first EPT.
Jonathan Abdellatif might not ring a bell for most readers, but people active in the Belgian poker scene surely have heard of him. We don't call him Shirley, we call him a Belgian serial casher. He's cashed in lots of tournaments in his home country and already cashed here this week as well, 8th for €4,230 in the €1,000 Turbo 8 Handed tournament.
Abdellatif started out with 76,600 this morning but has about three times that right now. Abdellatif is by far the chattiest person at the table, something that happens to him more often than not.
He told us he didn't just win one big pot, so we assume he won a lot of smaller ones. The biggest pot he won was the one where he knocked out Robert Auer. The German regular, who qualified for this tournament online, shoved over a hijack minimum raise open. Abdellatif woke up with kings behind him and had one of the easier decisions in his life. Abdellatif won from 
and Auer made his exit while the Belgian up and comer started stacking again.

Two big name players exited just before the end of level 12 and both of them held ace-king in their exit hands.
First to go was Manig Loeser he three-bet all-in for 25,600 with 
only for Renato Almeida to re-raise all-in behind him with pocket kings. A 
board sent Loeser tumbling out.
And moments later Joni Jouhkimainen suffered the same fate, he three-bet all-in for around 40,000 holding 
but he didn't even have the luxury of an overcard as Ekrem Sanioglu had pocket aces. A 
board gave him a flush draw on the turn but he missed the river.

Marc Trijaud raised to 3,500 preflop from middle position before Aurelien Soutchkov made it 9,300 in the blinds. Trijaud called to see a 
flop where Soutchkov fired a bet of 13,500
Trijaud moved all in for about 43,000 in total and Soutchkov tanked for a couple of minutes before making the call.
