Antonio Rodrigues folded to a bet from Barney Boatman and WSOP bracelet winner Boatman showed him the . “Too much respect.” said Rodrigues. “Not enough bravery.” Boatman responded. “You showed a card?” asked the dealer. Boatman confirmed he showed an ace, “Can’t remember which one though.”
Next hand Boatman opened for 2,400 and found one caller in Magali Fabron in late position. They saw a flop of and Boatman continued for 2,000. Fabron called and the turn card was the . Boatman tossed out a T5000 chip and Fabron gave him the respect and folded.
The monitors had not yet showed the new blind levels which included the information that antes were now 200 but Boatman’s table had been playing 100 antes. It was announced over the Tannoy that this was the case and Rodrigues bet his neighbour, Jeffrey Hakim, that antes would go up next hand. Having obviously not heard the announcement he agreed to the bet. “Sure, how much. 100 Euro?” Rodrigues agreed. It didn’t take long for Hakim to realise he’d been duped and despite offering to pay up Rodrigues let him off the “Stupid bet.” as he called it.
When Boatman realized they’d been playing the wrong antes he jokingly said, “I’m steaming now. I’ve won two hands in a row.”
Twitter is such a beautiful thing. You can keep all your fans up to date about your progress in the tournament you're playing. Fans, backers, family, everyone knows what you're up to. But that 140 character limitation can be a pain. Add the very specific poker lingo to that and some tweets are hard to follow if you're not a poker and twitter expert.
EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee is an expert at twitter. Just for the more inexperienced digital railers a little bit of a translation:
Fold down to 8 bbs & then shove, shove, double (last hand before break). 1st hand back I get it in w/ KQ on JT8dd-A vs TT for 65k... riv TFollow @KevinMacPhee
I folded to the point where I had just eight big blinds left. At that point I was able to shove two times and and I the last time and doubled my stack. That happened the last hand before the break. The first hand after the break I got all my chips in with on a board with two diamonds against someone with . That pot was 65,000, but the river was a giving my opponent quads.
Busto. Very happy with how patient I was today on the short stack. €2k later today... #EPTDeauvilleFollow @KevinMacPhee
That means I'm done. I'm very happy with how patient I was today playing the short stack. I will be playing the €2,000 tournament later today. #EPTDeauville

We didn't witness the entire hand but saw the river action quite clearly. The board was as followed: and German player Robert Haigh jammed all in.
Nikolas Segredakis snap called with and that was more than enough to win the hand. Haigh just had for a total bluff gone totally wrong.

Jannick Wrang played Day1A and yesterday, on his day off, he won the €2k Turbo event. He triumphed a 77 player field and defeated EPT London champions David Vamplew (6th for €9,020) and Ruben Visser (4th for €14,560) at the final table to take down the €40,650 first prize.
Today he started off well. Just now we saw him bet 8,000 on a board. Frenchman Miroslav Alilovic check called from the blinds. Wrang, seated in the hijack, bet another 24,000 on the river. Alilovic snap called by tossing in a 100 chips but had to add 23,900 more after Wrang showed for the turned straight.
