A cursory glance at Stephen Chidwick's stack revealed that the EPT10 Prague third place finisher had a stack of some 57,000, almost double what it was previously. It turns out that just before the end of Level 2 he eliminated Nessim Alberto Dayan to climb to that height.
On the river of a board Chidwick set the the Panamanian in for 7,750 and Dayan called it off, Chidwick showed for a full-house, whilst Dayan had for a strong but ultimately second best hand.
It's not been the best of times for Friend of PokerStars, Natalie Hof. She called a 3,200 bet on the turn of a board against Sotirios Koutoupas before checking the river to the Greek player.
Koutoupas appeared to have tapped the table and Hof turned over but the former said, "No, no, no, I didn't check." However he relented and accepted that it looked as though he had. Koutoupas turned over for a rivered set to pinch the pot on the river.
JP Kelly started out so good today, but after losing two big pots his once oh so big stack is reduced to a mere 12,500.
In the first of the two big hands Tobias Peters raised it up to 450 under the gun. Peters received five callers, including Kelly in position. On a rainbow board Peters continued for 1,150. The player in seat five made the call and Kelly bumped it up to 3,800. Both Peters and seat five made the call.
On the on the turn Peters checked to seat five. That gentleman all of the sudden bet out 7,000 and Kelly made the call. Peters now shoved all in for 18,000 total and seat five reluctantly folded. Kelly made the call and showed a set of eights, but he was drawing to a single out against Peters set of nines. The river spelled doom for Kelly who lost that big pot.
Not much later Kelly squeezed to 2,000 from the small blind after a cutoff open and button call for 500 each. The cutoff folded but Uladzimir Zakharau made the call on the button. and Kelly continued with a 1,600 bet. Zakharau made the call and the man from Belarus also snap called the 4,800 turn bet Kelly made after the had hit. The fell on the river and with four hearts out there Kelly now checked. Zakharau bet 10,000 and Kelly quickly released.
While raking in the chips Zakharau showed the , and later the for the rivered nuts. Kelly wasn't bluffed, but that knowledge doesn't get him his chips back for now.
Jean-Francois Rial from France opened the betting, got a call to his left and then Szabolcs Mayer from Hungary moved all-in. Rial asked for a count and found it was a total of 7,350. Rial announced he too was all in and they got it heads up. Mayer tabled but stood up from the table when he saw his opponents . He was a 4:1 dog and the board ran out to send Mayer to the kennel.

Julian Thomas, who won WPT Prague in December, just won a not insignificant pot against Andrey Lobzhanidze. Pre-flop Thomas raised to 600, Pierre Calamusa made it 1,800 to play, Andrey Lobzhanidze flat-called, Thomas four-bet to 4,800 and only Lobzhanidze called.
So there was already 11,675 in the pot as the flop came down a drenched , both players checked and the fell on the turn. First to act Thomas made a bet of 2,800 and Lobzhanidze smooth called. The river elicited checks from both players, Thomas showed and it was good. He's up to 33,000 as a result.
