Yurasov Makes a Good Call

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Ekrem Sanioglu from Turkey, sporting a bright pink sweater, opened for 450 in the cut-off and faced a three-bet from Russia’s Dmitry Yurasov in the small blind. The big blind folded and Sanioglu made the call. A flop of {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} saw Yurasov lead for 1,100 and get a call. They both checked the turn {j-Hearts} and Yurasov checked the river {k-Hearts}. Sanioglu bet out 1,625 and a smile spread across the Russian’s face. He spread the bet to check the count and threw out the call. Sanioglu turned over {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for bottom pair. Yurasov showed his read was right with his {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} getting a “Wow.” from his opponent.

Big Rog, Small Stack

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

France’s very own Roger Hairabedian, “Big Rog” to his friends, opened and was raised from the big blind by Chun Ho Law from the UK to 1,900. They say a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Law checked to Hairabedian who bet 2,000. Law called and they say a turn card of {9-Diamonds} which again was checked to Hairabedian who bet a single T5000 chip. Law gave an inquisitive nod of his head and Hairabedian showed him his remaining chip stack of around 6,000. Law bet a stack of chips to cover that and Hairabedian threw his cards in the muck.

Woodcock the Victor

Nível 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

With the board reading {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, Victor Choupeaux and Rob Woodcock both checked across to Dmitry Yurasov who bet 800. Choupeaux made the call but Woodcock came in for a check-raise to 3,200. Yurasov and Choupeaux both made the call to see the {6-Diamonds} on the turn, ostensibly a blank and Choupeaux checked to Woodcock.

The British player bet 8,500 this time with about 13,000 behind, Yurasov folded quickly but Choupeaux was a little more circumspect. Eventually though, he mucked as well.

Roosens Suffers Tough Beat

Nível 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Well, this probably could be deemed a 'puke-worthy spot'.

On the turn of an {8-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts} board, Jean-Philippe Roosens was probably feeling pretty good about getting his chips in the middle with {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. But then Timur Margolin turned over {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a bigger house and Roosens was drawing to two cards - just to chop.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} and predictably, Roosens was forced to make an exit.
