Three Barrels Does the Job

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Olof Haglund opened the hijack to 1,400 and just Yoni Journo in the big blind made the call.

Haglund fired three bullets at his French opponent. 1,900 on the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, 4,500 on the {9-Hearts} turn and 9,000 on the {5-Clubs} river. Journo check called the flop and turn but eventually folded the river after some heavy thinking.

Haglund is now nearing the 100,000 mark with little less than an hour of play left for the day.

The top of the leaderboard is changing rapidly. Tatu Maenpaa, Mario Nagel, and EPT8 Loutraki Main Event champion Zimnan Ziyard led the way after the dinner break — meet all three over on the PokerStars blog. Meanwhile others have now caught that trio and are beginning to push in front with Chris Day of the U.K. now closing in on the 200,000-chip mark here during the day's final level.

Show One, Show All Sergio

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Ihar Soika was facing a 10,300 bet from rising Spanish star Sergio Aido on a board of {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. It had been checked on the flop and Soika was deep in the tank. Too deep for some players it seemed as time was called and the floor gave him the full countdown. Well, almost full as he folded with one second to spare. Aido flashed him his cards and after some protest had to show the table his {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Lannermark Doubles Through Mortensen

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Morten Mortensen
Morten Mortensen

Daniel Lannermark opened for 3,500 and was raised by Morten Mortenson to 6,800. Mortenson had bought in late today having cashed in the Mini FPS and had Lannermark covered. Lannermark was in no mood to fold though and moved all-in for a total of 32,600. Mortenson made the call with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} and saw the bad news {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Lannermark doubled up with the close of play fast approaching.

Sfez Grabs Some Chips

Nível 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Sfez has been active today and just won a small pot off Christopher Frank.

Sfez had opened to 1,375 from middle position and Frank, the German player who final tabled EPT London last year (6th for £112,000), three bet to 3,300 from the button. Sfez made the call and check called another 3,800 on {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} on the turn and the river was another six: {6-Clubs}. Sfez bet out 9,300 and Frank quickly folded.

The next hand Sfez opened once again to 1,375 but he folded his {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} after neighbor Candido Goncalves shoved all in for 10,850.
