They are instinctive to poker players, but sometimes these unwritten codes are broken, with catastrophic results for those who do so, as the PokerStars Blog reports.
We're down to the final two tables in Prague as Artem Metalidi has just been eliminated at the feature table. Max Silver raised to 60,000 from the cut-off, Artem Metalidi three-bet all in for 670,000 and Silver made the call.

The flop gave no help to the Ukranian, the turn was an over card to Silver's pair but not one that helped Metalidi and the river was not one of Metalidi's six outs.
He's out in 17th for €39,400 and they'll no be a re-draw to the final 16 players.
The action on the outer tables continues to be plentiful, but most of it is pre-flop and there have been precious few showdowns. There have been lots of all in's though, but everyone of them has got through.
The closest we had to a cards on their backs moment was in the following hand, Jorma Nuutinen opened to 60,000 from under-the-gun, Zdravko Duvnjak three-bet to 140,000 from middle position only for Dimitri Holdeew to cold four-bet to 275,000 from the big blind. The original raiser folded but Duvnjak moved all in.
Holdeew requested a count as their stacks were very close, Duvnjak had 1,150,000, Holdeew roughly 1,050,000. After a long tank Holdeew let his hand go. Pot to Duvnjak, 17 players remain.

We're down to 17 and it's Ihar Soika who's gone and again it was an elimination at the feature table. From under-the-gun Soika raised to 70,000 from a stack of 679,000. It folded to Stephen Chidwick in the small blind, he set Soika all-in and the Belarusian called all in.

The classic race graphic was dusted off for the feature table and it went the way of the pair this time as the board ran and Soika was out in 18th.
Artem Metalidi started out as one of the shortest stacks but is doing just fine so far. He doubled up first with versus Stephen Chidwick's . Metalidi was outflopped on but made sweet revenge with the on the turn and on the river.
Just now he raised preflop and was looked up by neighbor Julian Track. Metalidi bet the flop and river on after both checking the turn. Track called on the flop but gave up on the river. Life isn't all that bad for Metalidi right now.
In the preflop all in situation it was Tamer Kamel who had the best hand with . Tamel was looked up by Max Silver who had .
The 764,000 pot meant everything for Kamel, not so much for the already enormously rich Silver.
Kamel flopped top two pair on but was anything but safe. Silver gained some more outs with the on the turn and eliminated his neighbor with the on the river.
The shorties keep on falling, now it was Romain Chauvassagne who was getting eliminated.
Chauvassagne just moved to his new table and found Ole Schemion right next to him. Schemion is a pain to have on your left at any stage, but since Chauvassagne was short it wasn't that big of a problem.
Well, it became a problem anyway as Schemion called the all in from the big blind. Chauvassagne had shoved the small blind with his and was getting looked up by Schemion's . The board never gave Chauvassagne any hope and he as soon on his way to the pay out desk: .
