All Three Streets from O’Dwyer

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Steve O’Dwyer was in the big blind in a pot against Ivan Soshnikov who was under-the-gun. The flop was {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades} and O’Dwyer bet 11,100. Soshnikov thought for a while and made the call. Turn card {3-Spades} and O’Dwyer continued for 20,000. There was a slightly longer pause from Soshnikov before he made the call. River card {10-Hearts} and O’Dwyer went for the lot, an all-in of 52,000. Soshnikov was flummoxed and took his time. The break was called and players from other tables streamed out of the tournament area for their twenty minutes freedom. The players at this table however stayed to see the result, including Isaac Haxton and Eugene Katchalov. Soshnikov smiled ruefully and looked a bit deflated. O’Dwyer didn’t move a muscle. A couple of minutes ticked by before Soshnikov mucked his cards. “Got him.” Said Haxton.

Guigon went in the tank, counting out the chips for a call from his stack. He then reassembled his stack and looked at the tournament clock. Five minutes to the break. He shook his head and released his hand. The chips were passed to Tuna.

No Respect

Nível 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

David Vamplew opened for 4,800 from the cut-off and the decision was on Antonio Lafosse from Peru who asked for a count and was Vamplew told him he had 38,000 behind. As Lafosse contemplated his decision Vamplew stared him down. Lafosse reached for chips Antonio Lafosse regardless and a raise of 18,000 was enough to win him the pot.
