The March to the £50,000 Super High Roller Final Table Begins on Day 2
Yesterday, the Season 10 European Poker Tour London £50,000 Super High Roller kicked off as 38 unique players accounted for 14 re-entries, brining the total number of entries up to 52. That number is likely to go up as registration is open up to the start of Day 2. Rest assured, at least a few players will make a late arrival to join the 32 players that advanced for Day 1.
The man to catch is German Johannes Strassmann, who starts the day as chip leader with massive 1.53 million stack. The German is a well-known fixture on the EPT, having final tabled three events in the past and bubbling two others. All told, Strassmann has nine top-50 finishes on the tour.
Others returning to action are Steve O'Dwyer (903,000), Bill Perkins (760,000), Daniel Negreanu (659,000), Christoph Vogelsang (607,000), John Juanda (607,000), Shawn Buchanan (591,000) and Jeff Gross (523,000), just to name a few. Of those listed, Perkins and Gross both re-entered.
Others who fired a second bullet and are still alive are Richard Yong (430,000), Sorel Mizzi (360,000), Talal Shakerchi (200,000), Jason Mercier (161,000) and Haralabos Voulgaris (145,000).

A handful of players have registered here at the start of Day 2. Some newcomers are Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, Patrik Antonius and Dhruvin Patel. Poker fans are no doubt familiar with the former two, but the latter may be a new name. That's because the 21-year-old student from Portsmouth, England is better known as a high-stakes cash game player around England as opposed to a tournament grinder.
Meanwhile, Philipp Gruissem has decided to fire a fourth bullet in the tournament, meaning he has invested £200,000 into the £50,000 Super High Roller.

Shak Doubles Through Negreanu

Seidel Knocks Kurganov Out

Erik Seidel entered today with a fresh stack as he busted fairly early on Day 1, and that decision seems to work out for him so far. Seidel just raised from the button after which Igor Kurganov re-shoved for around 107,000 chips.

Mizzi Gets Some Help

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 16,000 from middle position and Sorel Mizzi called from the hijack and all the other players folded.
The flop brought out 
and O'Dwyer continued with a bet worth 23,000, but that was not enough for Mizzi. The third-place finisher of the EPT Monte Carlo Super High Roller raised it up to 62,000 and O'Dwyer made the call.

Patel Lasts 19 Minutes

Dhruvin Patel was the new kid on the block at the start of the day. While the 21-year-old Londoner is familiar in the high-stakes cash game circles, he's new to the Super High Roller scene. There was some excitement surrounding his debut, but it was short lived as he busted just 19 minutes into Level 9.
Both he and Tobias Reinkemeier put in 55,000 preflop and took a flop, which came down 
. A raising war broke out and before long Patel ended up getting his chips all in holding the 
. Unfortunately for him, Reinkemeier rolled over the
