Tony G raised to 6,000 in first position, Anton Allemann called on the button before Philipp Gruissem three-bet to 24,000 in the small blind. Neither player were frightened by the raise and three people saw the flop and turn which were both checked through -

Bill Perkins raised to 5,500 in the hijack seat and Mike McDonald called in the small blind. The pair were soon staring at a flop of

Dan Smith has just eliminated the man currently ranked number one in the Global Poker Index - Jason Mercier. We joined the action at the death knell with the board displaying 
. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier had bet 18,000 and Dan Smith had moved all-in. Mercier called and then mucked his cards, unseen, after Smith turned over 
for the full house. Mercier handed all of his stack to Smith including Sammy the Seahorse.
"Don't give him that bad luck charm," said Negreanu as Mercier left the table.
Listening to the table talk we do not expect Mercier to buy back in.

We just watched Sam Chartier pick up two hands and move himself up near 400,000 in chips. The first hand was against Gus Hansen and the second against Erik Seidel.
On the first one, Hansen check-called a bet of 33,000 from Chartier on the 
board before seeing the 
land on the river. Hansen checked again and Chartier jammed all in for 89,600. After a long tank from Hansen, the call was made. Chartier tabled the 
for a full house and Hansen mucked his hand.
Shortly after that, Chartier was up against Seidel on the 
board. He check-called a bet of 50,200 from Seidel before firing 122,000 on the 
river. Seidel gave it up and Chartier won the pot.

With 17,100 in the middle on the 
flop, Dan Shak checked to Tobias Reinkemeier. Reinkemeier fired 10,000 and Shak check-raised to 25,000. After a minute, Reinkemeier folded and Shak won the pot to chip up towards 450,000.
Although many would consider Shak an amateur poker player, he has plenty of big buy-in accolades to his credit. Shak has numerous cashes in events with five-figure buy-ins, but we're not going to focus on that here. We're going to look at the ones with another zero tacked onto them.
In 2009, Shak took fourth in the Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge for A$200,000. A year later he won the event after defeating Phil Ivey heads up for the A$1,200,000 first-place prize. Earlier this year, Shak took second behind Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller for $846,700.

Leon Tsoukernik limped in from under the gun and Anton Allemann raised to 10,000 from the next seat. Philipp Gruissem called from the hijack seat and action folded back to Tsoukernik. He called and the flop came down 
. Tsoukernik and Allemann checked before Gruissem bet 22,000. Tsoukernik check-raised the minimum to 44,000 and Allemann folded. Gruissem called.
Fourth street was the and Tsoukernik bet 53,000. Gruissem folded and Tsoukernik won the pot.

Negreanu checked to Katchalov and a 20,000 bet won the pot.

Martin Kabrhel has just sat down and within one hand he has lost half of his stack.
Scott Seiver raised to 6,500 in early position and Kabrhel three-bet to 15,600 from the hijack seat; Seiver made the call and the pair shared a flop of . Seiver quietly tapped the felt, Kabrhel bet 13,600 and Seiver called. The turn was the 
and once again Seiver check-called; this time for 26,100. Moving onto the river and this pot was getting serious. Seiver checked instantly and Kabrhel bet 39,600.
"I am all-in," said Seiver before moving his chips across the line.
"How much is that?" Asked Kabrhel.
"127,600," said the dealer.
Kabrhel gave it the moments pause it deserved before mucking his hand.
