€100,000 Super High Roller
Dia 1 Concluído
The PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller has wrapped up Day 1. A total of 38 players came out and plopped down the massive six-figure buy-in, with a few of them tossing in a second bullet after re-entering. All together, there were five re-entries on Day 1 and that made the total number grow to 43.
At the end of the day, 29 players remained and Talal Shakerchi was the man topping the pack. He bagged up a whopping 1.165 million in chips, thanks large in part to busting Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom on one of the last hands of the night.
Coming in behind Shakerchi are 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel, Dan Shak and then Tobias Reinkemeier. Other remaining include Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Daniel Negreanu.
Tomorrow's Day 2 kicks off at 1:00 PM CEST. It's already been made known that both Gus Hansen and Leon Tsoukernik will be firing another bullet into play, so that should account for two more chunks of cash added to the prizepool. We'll keep you posted as to how that plays out and see you tomorrow for another great day of action from the felt.

Team PokerStars Pro Viktor Blom raised to 10,000 under the gun and Talal Shakerchi and Tom Marchese called behind.
Flop:
Blom checked, Shakerchi bet 17,000, Marchese folded, Blom check-raised to 68,000 and Shakerchi called.
Turn:
If anybody was searching for that spade then they found it. Blom seemed to like it because he bet 108,000 and after a little bit of chin scratching Shakerchi made the call.
River:
Blom bet 140,000 and Shakerchi moved all-in. Blom went to insta-call, pulled his chips, thought for a while but then did make the call. Shakerchi turned over for the nuts and the dealer forced Blom to show his cards and he had .
Blom headed straight for the rail and Shakerchi headed into the top spot on our leader board with 1,165,000 chips.
"You played that very well," said Scott Seiver.

Earlier we brought you news that Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier had hit his flush, on the river, to take 100,000 out of the Trickett stack. Then we heard that Trickett and Phil Ivey decided to get it all-in pre flop in a 500,000 pot. Tricket was holding and Ivey held . You've guessed it! A king on the river reducing Trickett to chip dust.
With Trickett on death's doorstep Patrik Antonius raised to 12,000, Trickett moved all-in for 19,000 and Antonius called.

Leon Tsoukernik arrived underneath the rotor blades of a helicopter and he has been spinning ever since. Let's just recap the day in the life of Tsoukernik.
He arrives via helicopter and takes his seat in a €100,000 game. He gets into a conversation with Tony G about what types of jets they should purchase before giving out advice to the rest of the table on how to make millions. During the dinner break while everyone else is eating Tsoukernik plays craps and wins €70,000. He sits back down and is eliminated by Philipp Gruissem, Not to be deterred, Tsoukernik, takes his €70,000 back to the craps table and spins it up to over €100,000 before returning to buy-in for his second attempt at the poker.
No sooner is the ink dry on the second €100,000 ticket, Leon Tsoukernik is back playing craps! He opened to 30,000 in first position holding , Isaac Haxton moved all-in for 165,000 holding , Tsoukernik called, the board helped out Haxton and Tsoukernik was in a spot of bother.
Then on a board of he moved all-in over a Tom Marchese bet holding and Marchese called with and that was the end of that!
Will we see him again tomorrow? Who knows but we hope so.
