On the last hand before the break, a heads-up flop read 9♦K♠5♦ when John Compton checked, Vladyslav Shovkovyi bet the pot of 320,000 and Compton check-jammed for over a million.

Shovkovyi made the call to put himself at risk and the two players tabled their hands in the largest pot of the tournament.

Compton was in the lead with his top two pair, but Shovkovyi could hit an ace to chop or a diamond to win. The Q♣ on the turn changed nothing but the 6♦ smacked down on the river to give him the flush to claim this monster pot.

With this win, Shovkovyi dethrones Compton as the chip leader and Compton himself is now the shortest stack in the room.
