Soyza Gets it Wrong to Bubble $50,000 Challenge

Nível 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Michael Soyza limped in the small blind and Michael Addamo raised to 20,000. Soyza called and check-called 30,000 on the {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop.

The turn was the {j-Spades} and Soyza checked again. Addamo bet 105,000 into a pot of 100,000 and Soyza called.

The river was the {7-Hearts}. Soyza checked for the third time and Addamo moved all in. Soyza sat with 180,000 behind and used up three of his four time extensions before calling.

Addamo turned over {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush and Soyza was eliminated having rivered only two pair with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Fox Falls Short of the Money

Nível 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

It all started with a raise to 10,000 by Yong Wang and Orpen Kisacikoglu three-bet to 35,000 after eyeballing the stack of Wang. Elio Fox in the small blind four-bet to 80,000 and Wang quickly got out of the way while Kisacikoglu made the call.

They headed to the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop and Fox led for 45,000, which Kisacikoglu called after he had a few seconds left on his shot clock. Fox then moved all in after the turn for {7-Hearts} for what appeared to be 213,000 and Kisacikoglu asked for a count. The dealer was all but finished to get an exact count when Kisacikoglu tossed in a chip for the call.

Elio Fox: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

A blank {7-Hearts} on the river sent Fox from one of the big stacks to the rail just shy of the money in a matter of minutes and the remaining 11 players will now play hand for hand on the money bubble.

Katz Takes Big Pot Off Fox

Nível 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The action started with a raise to 10,000 by Cary Katz and Elio Fox in the big blind three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind, which Katz called. Fox bet the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop for 25,000 and picked up a call before firing a second barrel for 50,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn. Katz stuck around to see the {6-Spades} on the river.

Fox emptied the clip with a third barrel for 90,000 and Katz quickly called. Fox turned over {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a bluff and Katz won the pot with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for top pair.

Badziakouski Rivered From the $50,000 Challenge

Nível 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Rainer Kempe opened to 14,000 on the button and Sam Greenwood three-bet all in from the small blind. Mikita Badziakouski was in the big blind and cold-called all in for 121,000. Kempe thought about it before folding.

Sam Greenwood: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Mikita Badziakouski: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Badziakouski was ahead and was looking to hold in order to double his 24 big blind stack. The flop {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and turn {j-Spades} didn't change anything, but Greenwood hit his three-outer on the {k-Clubs} river to send his opponent to the rail.

Nível 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Yong Wang doubled through Timothy Adams and shortly after both would meet again. Adams raised to 11,500 and Wang three-bet to 32,000 from one seat over, which Adams called. The flop brought {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Adams check-called a bet of 23,000. The {5-Clubs} on the turn was checked and Adams used a time bank extension before leading for 100,000, prompting a near-instant fold from Wang.

One For Greenwood Before the Dinnerbreak

Nível 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In the penultimate hand before the end of the level, the flop showed {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Sam Greenwood in the hijack, as well as Ben Lamb on the button, invested 16,000 each. The {q-Hearts} fell on the turn and Greenwood check-called a brt of 27,000 to see the {6-Spades} on the river.

Both players checked and Lamb as the last aggressor briefly flashed his cards but Greenwood had the winning hand in {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

Shortly after, the remaining 14 players headed into a 45-minute dinner break. Cards will go back in the air at approximately 9.38 p.m. local time.
