Fox Beats Katz at Showdown

Nível 9 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Cary Katz had limped from under the gun and Elio Fox raised to 7,000 in the cutoff which Kahle Burns on the button and Peter Jetten in the small blind called. Katz made it four ways to the {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop and they checked around. Katz bet the {9-Hearts} turn for 11,900 and Fox was the only caller.

The {6-Diamonds} river was checked once more and Katz as the last aggressor tabled the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Fox had that beat with {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

Over on table seven, Timothy Adams, Sam Grafton and James Romero hold near identical stacks while Shan Huang has lost a lot of chips since the start. Huang just open-shoved from early position and picked up no caller.

"Just queens," he said in table chat with a smile on the face.

Jiang Doubles Through Burns; Busts van Hoof

Nível 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Sosia Jiang faced a raise to 3,600 by Kahle Burns and three-bet to 9,500. Burns moved all in and Jiang called for 80,900.

Sosia Jiang: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

On a board of {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}, van Hoof missed out on his two overcards and a flushdraw to hit the rail.

"I shouldn't have finished the massage," the A$25,000 PLO Event champion said on his way out.

Muehloecker Eliminated by Seidel

Nível 8 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Thomas Muehloecker lost the vast majority of his stack when his {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} ended up second best to Jamie Lee with the {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} as the board came {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Down to around 7,000, he was all in against fellow short stack Erik Seidel and trailed with the {10-Spades}{7-Spades} versus {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The board brought {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades} and that spelled the end for Muehloecker and reduced the field to the final 39 players.
