2016 Aussie Millions
Earlier this level Chance Kornuth was knocking on elimination's door, down to what looked to be 20,000 or so. He's now sitting on a stack of 140,000!
His latest victim was none other than Andrew Lichtenberger. It happened when a player opened for 4,000, Kornuth three-bet to 10,500, and Lichtenberger shipped for 50,000 or so. The original raiser folded, Kornuth called with ![]()
, and his pocket pair held against "Lucky Chewy's" ![]()
suited.
It appears Lichtenberger is going to reenter.

Brian Rast only just entered the event after his flight got delayed and he got stuck in Sydney for a little bit longer this morning. The 50,000 he got to start with are now in possession of his former neighbor Byron Kaverman.
Home town player Sam Higgs opened the cutoff and Byron Kaverman called from the button. Brian Rast in the small blind squeezed and Higgs made the call. Kaverman now back shoved all in for 66,200 and Rast called for his 51,000 after giving it some thoughts. Higgs tanked for a bit, asked how much it exactly was to call, but decided against it in the end and slid his cards into the muck.

Action folded to Philipp Gruissem in the small blind and he simply moved all in to put the pressure on Mustapha Kanit, who was sitting with 13,900 in the big. There was clearly some context we missed before we arrived — perhaps Kanit saying he was going to call in such a situation — as the two were all smiles and joking around.
Kanit asked Gruissem to look in his eyes, but the man known as "Philbort" instead covered them with his hands. Kanit tried to pry them away from Gruissem's face but was unsuccessful. Again, it was all done in jest.
Kanit stated that he liked his hand; in fact, it was one of his favorites. Still, he picked up his cards and moved them forward as if he was going to fold. Then, just like that, he used his other hand to spike in his chips, much to the surprise of Gruissem.

"Enjoy your tournament guys," Kanit offered before taking his leave from the tournament for good.
