Two Pair Timo Drops Some

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Timo Pfutzenreuter
Timo Pfutzenreuter

Timo Pfutzenreuter value bet two pair on the river but two pair turned out to be no good.

He was in the small blind and called pre flop raise - along with the big blind - from a player in the hijack. The flop spread {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Pfutzenreuter was the only player to check-call a 1,525 c-bet. Both remaining players checked the {j-Diamonds} turn before Pfutzenreuter led for 2,000 on the {8-Hearts} river.

The hijack called with {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a straight, beating out Pfutzenreuter's {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The S.S. Dudani

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

"I finally got my passport to travel," Shiva Dudani told us earlier in the day.

The American pro, who we're accustomed to seeing on the World Series of Poker Circuit, made the trip to Melbourne to take a shot at the Aussie Millions Main Event. Similarly, Rob Edelstein, a pro based out of Chicago, did the same. It seems the allure of the city and a big-time tournament is too much for some to resist. Edelstein is sitting solid with right around 65,000, while Dudani just scored a big double.

We picked up the action on a {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Spades} flop when Dudani checked from the big blind and the under-the-gun player did the same. The player on the button then bet 2,700, both his opponents called, and the {9-Hearts} appeared on the turn, a card all three checked.

When the {A-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Dudani led out for 4,200, the under-the-gun player folded, and the button eyed up Dudani's stack before moving all in. Dudani, who had about 20,000 total, didn't seem excited about it but shrugged before announcing, "Call."

"King high," the button sighed. Dudani then tabled the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for nines full of aces and the double.

Hollywood in Melbourne

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Casey Kastle back-doored into a flush in a three-bet pot but it wasn't enough to see a big pot head to his neighbour.

Kastle opened to 775 from under the gun and was called in the next seat before Simon Deadman squeezed to 2,700 from one more seat along. Both players called and the board ran out {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} as no player fancied a bet.

On the river, Kastle led for 7,000 before his neighbour went into an act worthy of a oscar. He tried everything to look like he hated the scenario before moving all-in for 16,000. Deadman couldn't help but laugh as he released his hand. Kastle was dead serious though and made the call with {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs} losing out to his opponent's {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The winner asked Deadman if he would've called if he just called the 7,000 and Deadman said no and admitted he had pocket aces for turned top set.

They all Count Mr Molson

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Will Molson had lost around two-thirds of his stack from the start of play so every pot win becomes vital, no matter how small.

Four players took to a {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop where Molson led for 1,300 from the big blind. Two opponents folded before a player on the button called. The turn appeared as the {j-Clubs} and a second bullet from Molson saw off the third player.

Lin's Stay Short and Not So Sweet

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Celina Lin
Celina Lin

Two Team PokerStars Pros began Day 1b of the 2015 Aussie Million Main Event, but now only one remains.

Celina Lin was crippled earlier in the day after getting her aces cracked, and her time finally ran out midway through Level 4. We missed her elimination hand, but according to Joseph Cheong she got her last 8,000 or so in the middle holding {a-}{10-} and ran into an opponent's {a-}{k-}. Lin failed to find a ten, and she hit the rail leaving Bryan Huang as the only Team Pro remaining.

King of the Kastle

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Casey Kastle and Simon Deadman clashed again with the former coming out on top to rise to 66,000.

Deadman opened to 700 from under the gun and called after Kastle three-bet to 2,150 from the small blind. The flop fanned {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn and river came {q-Spades}{3-Spades} with Kastle betting 2,500 and 5,000 at each stop. Deadman called both times and mucked upon seeing his opponent's {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Kastle vs. Deadman One More Time

Nível 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Casey Kastle and Simon Deadman have been mixing it up a lot lately.

Most recently, Kastle opened for 775 under the gun and Deadman called from the hijack. The player on the button called, both blinds folded, and three players took a flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Three checks followed, the {a-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, and action repeated itself.

When the {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Kastle led out for 3,000, Deadman called, and the button got out of the way. Kastle tabled the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for aces and tens with a king kicker, and Deadman happily rolled over the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the same hand. Chop it up!
