We noticed that Paul "The Voice" Khoury wasn't in his seat, and a quick check with the table confirmed that he'd been eliminated.
According to Jake Balsiger, the under-the-gun player opened with a raise only to have Khoury three-bet with . Balsiger then four-bet from the small blind with , the original raiser folded, and Khoury made the call. After the flop came down , Balsiger continued for 4,000 and then called when Khoury shoved his last 14,000 or so. Khoury failed to catch a queen, and just like that "The Voice" was silenced.
The action folded to Eoghan O'Dea, who raised to 900 near the button. An opponent in the small blind three-bet to 2,600, but the Irish 2011 November Niner refused to back down, four-betting to 4,900.
His opponent folded.
Across the room, Aussie Daniel Laidlaw was faced with an open to 900. He called, a player on his direct left three-bet to 2,850, and the action folded back to Laidlaw. He reached for chips, four-betting to 6,800, and his opponent folded.
We stumbled upon a big pot brewing; in fact, there was about 35,000 already in the pot and a board reading . Didier Guerin was in the small blind and committed his remaining stack of approximately 15,000.
Edison Nguyen, who was on the button, insta-called and Guerin was left shaking his head.

Nguyen had flopped top two pair, which meant Guerin needed to hit his flush draw to survive. That proved easier said than done though as the useless blanked. Guerin rapped the table and then quickly exited the 2014 Aussie Millions.
Kristy speaks to Premiership Winning Captain of Hawthorn, Luke Hodge just after he announced the "shuffle up and deal" for the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event. He talks about poker, his kids and explains what a "specky" is in Australian Rules Football.
When we reached the table, Ricky "rickwaa" Kreosen and Connor Burrowes were heads up with 23,000 in the middle on a board of . Kreosen moved all in for effectively 37,450, and Burrowes tanked for a considerable amount of time before making the call.
Kreosen showed for a lowly pair of sixes, which Burrowes had crushed with for a rivered set of queens.
Kreosen plummeted down to 34,000 chips, while Burrowes doubled to nearly 100,000 chips.
We're now on the second-to-last break of Day 1a. When the remaining 136 players return, they'll play two more levels before bagging and tagging for the night. We'll be back in 15 minutes.
