Steicke Doubles Through Antonius

Nível 17 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

The details escaped us, but we do know that David Steicke got his stack all in and was racing against Patrik Antonius.

Steicke: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Antonius: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Antonius was ahead with his pocket tens, which meant Steicke, who won this event back in 2009, needed to improve to avoid becoming the eighth-place finisher.

Studio 3 was eerily quiet as the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds} to give Steicke the lead with a pair of kings. The Australian let the slightest of smiles cross his face and then watch as the {5-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river propelled him to a double.

Unfortunately we're not sure of the counts (limited access and no announcer), but we'll be sure to grab updated counts at the first available opportunity.

Shot Clock Violation

Nível 17 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened from under the gun, Patrick Antonius defended his big blind, and the flop fell {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Antonius check-called a bet of 75,000, the turn was a repeat queen - the {q-Spades} - and Antonius led out. The Finn fired 120,000, Negreanu called, and the {7-Diamonds} completed the board.

Antonius moved all in for effectively 300,000 or so, and Negreanu went into the tank. Kid Poker was thinking for so long that the dealer began counting down, and after five seconds the shot clock expired.

Timoshenko vs. Polk

Nível 17 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko opened for 62,000 and Doug "WGCRider" Polk called from the big blind. Polk then check-called a bet of 84,000 on the {8-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, the dealer burned and turned the {4-Spades}, and Polk checked for a second time.

Timoshenko bet again, this time 194,000, but he couldn't shake his opponent as Polk called. When the {q-Spades} completed the board on the river, Polk checked for a third time and TImoshenko opted to check behind.

Due to our limited access we weren't able to see what Timoshenko showed down, but we do know that he won the pot.

Limited Access

Nível 17 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Our access to the final table is limited; in fact, we're limited to watch the action from a television screen. Unfortunately there are no hole cards and no announcer, which means we have to try and piece together the action and betting.

McDonald Takes One

Nível 16 : 12,000/24,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 54,000. Mike "Timex" McDonald called on the button, and Doug Polk called from the big blind. After that, the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} was spread on the flop by the dealer. Polk and Timoshenko checked, and McDonald bet 80,000. His opponents folded, and McDonald won the pot.
