Erik Seidel doubles through Yevgeniy Timoshenko

Erik Seidel was all in preflop for around 500,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} against Yevgeniy Timoshenko's {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The flop, turn, and river ran out {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Spades}, and Seidel doubled up.

Patrik Antonius Eliminated in 5th Place (AU$700,000)

Nível 20 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Patrik Antonius - 5th Place
Patrik Antonius - 5th Place

Patrik Antonius raised the size of the pot (230,000) from the cutoff, which left him less than 200,000 behind. Mike "Timex" McDonald called him from the button, the blinds folded, and it was heads-up action to the {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} flop.

Antonius dropped in the last of his chips and McDonald made the call.

McDonald: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Antonius: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

McDonald was ahead with the pocket pair, but his Finnish foe was drawing live to two overs. The {6-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, and neither did the {5-Hearts} river. Antonius, who finished third in last year's Aussie Millions Main Event, missed and had to settle for fifth place and AU$700,000.

Three-Bet Pot Between McDonald and Timoshenko

Nível 20 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Mike McDonald raised to 120,000 on the button, Yevgeniy Timoshenko three-bet to 315,000 out of the big blind, and McDonald called.

The dealer fanned {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, both players checked, and the turn was the {2-Clubs}. Timoshenko led out for 260,000, McDonald called, and both players checked after the {8-Spades} completed the board.

Timoshenko showed {q-}{8-} for a pair of eights, but McDonald had him pipped with {k-}{10-} for a pair of tens.

Seidel Finds a King to Extend His Tournament Life

Nível 19 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Erik Seidel got his stack all in preflop holding the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades} and received a call from Patrik Antonius, who was ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Seidel needed some help and found some on the {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The {10-Hearts} turn have Antonius a Broadway draw to a queen, but he was left wanting as the {6-Diamonds} bricked on the river. Ship the double to Seidel.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated in 6th Place (AU$550,000)

Nível 19 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu - 6th Place
Daniel Negreanu - 6th Place

Daniel Negreanu moved all in for 90,000 on the button, Mike McDonald put in a three-bet from the small blind, and Doug Polk surrendered his big blind.

Negreanu: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
McDonald: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Negreanu said that he was going to make a straight, and the flop fell {8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

"What did I say?" Negreanu said, grinning.

The {3-Hearts} on the turn did not complete Negreanu's straight draw, and only a nine or a king on the river would save him.

Negreanu paired his ten when the {10-Diamonds} completed the board, but it was not enough to keep him alive. Kid Poker will walk away with AU$550,000, but after firing five bullets, that's only a profit of AU$50,000.

Double for Antonius

Nível 19 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Patrik Antonius was all in preflop with the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for Erik Seidel. Antonius was at risk for his last 365,000 and doubled after the board ran out {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Big Slick Doesn't Do the Trick

Nível 19 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu opened for 100,000 under the gun and cleared the field to a short-stacked Patrik Antonius in the big blind. The Finn didn't seem too excited but tossed in the additional 50,000 nonetheless.

When the flop came down {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, Antonius moved all in for his last 150,000 or so and Negreanu quickly called.

Negreanu: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Antonius: {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Antonius managed to find a pair on the flop, and it was ahead of Negreanu's Big Slick. The {10-Hearts} turn gave Negreanu even more outs, but the {7-Clubs} river wasn't one of them. Negreanu is now in the danger zone.
