Butuc Getting Involved
Gheorghe Butuc has been involved in plenty of the last few hands but the overall result was a net loss in chips.
First, Butuc opened to 50,000 from under the gun and got called by Presiyan Tsvetanov in the big blind. On the 2♥K♠8♣ flop, Tsvetanov check-called a bet of 50,000 from Butuc.
Both checked the Q♣ turn then Tsvetanov led for 150,000 on the 4♠ river. Butuc folded.
In the second hand, Claudio Di Giacomo made it 50,000 from the button and both Tsvetanov & Butuc called from the blinds.
The 5♦9♦5♥ flop was checked to the 8♠ turn where Butuc's 100,000-chip bet won him the pot.
Then, there were already a chunk of chips in the pot on a turn of 5♠K♥J♦7♦ when Di Giacomo bet 100,000, and Butuc called.
On the K♠ river, Di Giacomo bet 180,000 and after a long time, Butuc folded.
