Diac Triples, Shahar Bluffs Amsellem for the Side Pot

Ran Shahar made it 50,000 from under the gun and Catalin Diac shoved in the hijack for 125,000. Jacob Amsellem then four-bet to 200,000 in the cutoff, and when the action got back to Shahar, he called.

Both active players checked the J♦4♠4♣ flop and Shahar fired 100,000 on the 3♦ turn. Amsellem called.

When the 6♠ hit the river, Shahar fired 155,000, and Amsellem snap-folded.

Shahar showed Q♦9♦ for just queen-high, but still won the side pot. Diac flipped 6♥6♣ for a rivered flush to scoop the main pot and give himself a lifeline.

Schneegass Gets a Huge Double Against Amsellem

Jacob Amsellem raised the button to 55,000 and Joerg Schneegass defended from the big blind.

They both went to a flop of J♠10♥K♠ where Schneegass check-called a bet of 55,000 from Amsellem.

Both checked the A♥ turn to see the Q♥ river, which put a Broadway straight on board. Schneegass checked, then Amsellem shoved. Schneegass had 335,000 remaining in his stack and snap-called, then showed J♥4♥ for a flush. Amsellem couldn't beat that and laughed to himself as he tossed his cards into the muck.

Tirca Shoves on Kim as the Other Table Gets Restless

De Han Kim raised to 55,000 in middle position and Tiberiu Tirca called on the button.

Kim checked the A♥A♣5♦ flop and Tirca bet 40,000. Kim called and both players checked the A♦ turn.

Kim then led out for 200,000 on the 3♠ river and Tirca moved all in for 720,000. While this hand was taking place, the other table was waiting for a player to fill the seat of the departed Rubin Okotie. As the minutes continued to burn off the clock as Kim tanked, they pleaded with a tournament official to pause the clock but to no avail.

Kim eventually folded. "Quads. Show one time, it's a small tournament," Martin Kabrhel said, but Tircu returned his cards face down.
