Niklas Astedt made a raise to 1,200 under the gun and was called by Markus Lehner in the seat next to him. Panagiotis Oikonomou three-bet to 2,600 in the hijack, receiving two callers.
The 2♣8♥4♠ flop was checked to him. He bet 6,000, folding out Astedt's K♠Q♥ and stringing Lehner along to a 9♥ turn. That turn was quickly checked through, leading to the 7♠ river emerging from the deck.
Lehner checked to Oikonomou for a third time. He tossed out a hefty bet of 11,000, which Lehner quickly called. Oikonomou opened J♥J♦ for an overpair.
Lehner had tried to play the hero with his 3♠3♦ but swiftly added his cards to the muck, surrendering a portion of his large stack to Oikonomou, who chipped back up to nearly one starting stack.
