Gavrila's Flush Sends Bayout Packing
Nível 29
: Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Axel Bayout opened from the cutoff with a raise to 350,000, leaving himself just 35,000 behind. Sensing the opportunity, Viorel Gavrila in the small blind responded by shoving all in. Bayout took his time before making the call, as a pay jump was looming.
Axel Bayout: A♠Q♥
Viorel Gavrila: A♥9♥
The flop 7♥J♦4♣ looked good for Bayout, who was at risk but ahead. Even the J♥ on the turn kept Bayout in the lead, though it gave Gavrila a flush draw.
The river, however, brought the 2♥, completing Gavrila’s flush and sending Bayout out of the tournament just shy of the pay jump.
