Traian Stanciu jammed his final 5,000,000 chips in from the button and Maurice Nass made the call from the big blind.

Stanciu had a slight lead, but Nass was the only one to flop a pair on 6♦3♣Q♥. The K♦ turn did not help Stanciu, and the 9♠ failed to improve his hand as well.

After a long and back-and-forth heads up battle, Stanciu finished as runner-up in the €550 Closer event.

He had to console himself with his €36,600 in prize money, while Maurice Nass could celebrate his newly won WSOP bracelet.

Stanciu's rail was screaming for an ace, but the K♦8♣5♥ flop brought his other pair instead, shooting him into the lead.

It was then Stanciu's rail's turn to root for a jack, but their yells were less effective as the board bricked out with a 7♣ turn and a 2♣ river.

Losing the flip meant that Mahaut was eliminated in fifth place while Stanciu ended up in a solid second place on the leaderboard.

A ruling was made that since Woolschot verbally declared his raise, he was forced to make a min-raise. He followed the ruling and the other players got out of the way to create a heads up showdown.

Neither player hit anything on the K♥8♣3♦Q♥7♠ board, meaning that Woolschot's ace-high eliminated Israelashvili in eight place.
