Adrian Mateos is back in action on Day 1b after busting the opening flight yesterday and he went heads-up with Maxim Panyak in his last hand.
Panyak bet 1,100 under the gun on a flop of J♦7♣6♣ and Mateos called in the big blind. The turn came the 8♦ and Mateos led out for 1,500.
Panyak called to the 9♦ river, where Mateos bet another 1,600. Panyak again called, then mucked when Mateos showed 5♠4♠ for a straight as the 2013 WSOPE Main Event champion took the pot.
