Grospellier Safely Through to Event #8: €2,500 Short Deck Hold'em Day 2
After a day full of eliminations, double-ups, re-entries and add-ons just 20 players remain after Day 1 of Event #8: €2,500 Short Deck Hold'em.
The only short deck tournament at the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe attracted 98 players, with Stoyan Madanzhiev, Armando D'Avanzo, Martin Kabrhel, Jack Sinclair and Dario Alioto. However, none of them would advance to Day 2.
The survivors are led by Switzerland's Didier Rabl who bagged up 588,500, with Philipp Schwab the only other player over the 500,000 mark.
Familiar names in the top 10 include 2021 WSOPE Mini Main Event winner Emile Bise along with bracelet winners Julien Martini and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier also safely through to Day 2.
