Straight for Adamson; Double for Kabrhel

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Vladimir Valent and Julian Adamson, the former check-called a bet for 20,000 on the river of a board {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. Adamson turned over {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the six-high straight and further boosted his already impressive stack.

Martin Kabrhel had arrived just that moment on the table and proceeded to win a flip for exactly the starting stack with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs} versus {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} thanks to a king on the turn.

Kooij's Queens Cracked

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Teunis Kooij
Teunis Kooij

Miroslav Prochazka raised and called a three-bet to 8,200 by table neighbor Teunis Kooij. On the flop of {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Prochazka checked and called the shove of Kooij for his last 13 big blinds.

Miroslav Prochazka: {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Teunis Kooij: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The {5-Diamonds} turn and {9-Hearts} river run changed nothing anymore and Kooij took a big hit to his stack.

"That's the new poker, just call and hit," Sebastian Langrock joked. Only a few minutes later, Langrock had no reason to joke anymore as he was eliminated for the second time on Day 1A.

Muller Takes Over the Lead Again

Nível 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a battle small blind versus cutoff, Gerrit Muller bet the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} turn for 18,000 and Karl Paeschke called to see the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Muller grabbed his remaining stack of T-5,000 chips and put them into the middle of the table to set Paeschke all in for effective 60,000.

Paeschke immediately sighed and leaned back in his seat. Half a minute passed and he sent his cards into the muck, allowing Muller to claim the pot without showdown.

Shaun Deeb, current 2018 WSOP Player of the Year leader, has also joined the mix along with Robert Auer and Martin Wendt on his second bullet.

Second Break of the Day

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

The screens are currently showing 82 players out of 147 entries remaining and they have been sent into their second 15-minute break of the day. Registration remains open for another two levels when they return and the separate Day 1A prize pool will then be determined.

Langrock Wins a Small Pot

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Just before their table broke, Alexander Shelukhin and Sebastian Langrock clashed in a small pot. The board showed {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Shelukhin bet 3,000 for two third the pot. Langrock gave it some thought and called to get shown {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a busted straight and flush draw. Langrock claimed the pot with {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines to chip up on his second bullet of the day.

Second Time no Charm for Miegel

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Oliver Heidel built a stack and has more than three times the starting stack. That is nothing compared to Gerrit Muller and Daniel Prior, though, but Heidel is on the way for a deep run in the tournament already.

Jaroslav Peter and Pasquale Grimaldi have joined the tournament, Mick Heder and Jakob Miegel departed. The latter has busted for the second time and won't be allowed to re-enter on Day 1A anymore.

Miller Busts Boyd in Big Flip

Nível 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Dutch Boyd
Dutch Boyd

Dutch Boyd raised to 2,000 and picked up one caller. Artem Miller in the small blind made it 6,000 to go and Boyd reraised to 21,000 with around 20,000 behind. The cold-caller folded and Miller gave it some thought before moving all in, a quick call by Boyd followed.

Dutch Boyd: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Artem Miller: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and Miller paired his ace on the turn to send the three-time WSOP bracelet winner to the rail.
