Jonkers Keeps Climbing

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades} with a pot of about 10,000 and Mathijs Jonkers had bet 4,000 from the small blind. The player in the big blind called.

The {K-Clubs} on the river completed the board. Jonkers now bet 20,000 and stared at his opponent while he was trying to decide what to do. In the end, his opponent folded.

The player in the hijack raised to 2,600 and he was called by Jan-Peter Jachtmann, in the cutoff, and Jan Schwippert and Tom Hall in the blinds.

They all checked through the {5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} on the flop and the {A-Clubs} on the turn. The {7-Hearts} on the river completed the board, Schwippert bet 3,000 and the other players all promptly folded.

Racener Keeps Hopes Alive

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
John Racener
John Racener

John Racener tweeted that he figured he needed a top-three run in this tournament to take down Player of the Year honors, and those hopes were just on the brink. He shoved under the gun for 26,000 and was called by the next player before a player two seats over put in a reraise all in. That chased away everyone else, including the caller.

Racener: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}, keeping the tens best and giving Racener a triple up.

The player in the cutoff raised to 2,700 and both Erich Kollmann and Simon Higgins called from the blinds.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}, both Kollmann and Higgins check-called the 3,000 bet of the player in the cutoff.

They all checked through the {Q-Hearts} on the turn to the {4-Clubs} on the river which they all checked on too. Kollmann showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of tens and that was enough for the other two players to muck their cards.
