David Benyamine called 800 from early position, Ryan Turner raised to 1,600 from the cutoff, and Benny Glaser three-bet to 2,400 from the small blind. Benyamine called, Turner four-bet to 3,200, Glaser called, and Benyamine called.

The three players saw a flop of {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Glaser checked, Benyamine checked, and Turner bet 800. Both Glaser and Benyamine called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades}, and both Glaser and Benyamine checked. Turner bet 1,600, Glaser called, and Benyamine called.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river, and both Glaser and Benyamine checked again. Turner bet 1,600, Glaser called, and Benyamine folded.

Glaser tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and fours, for high and no low. Turner showed {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the nut low, so they split the pot.

Scotty Nguyen Enters the Fray

Five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Scotty Nguyen has taken his seat.

Nguyen has over $5 million in WSOP earnings and an impressive 53 cashes. He has one WSOP Circuit ring to add to those accolades and is a true legend of the game. Nguyen won his first bracelet back in 1997. Twenty years later, here he is, taking a shot at this $10,000 Championship.

Valentin Vornicu Chips Up

Action folded to the player in the cutoff who raised to 1,600, nine-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Valentin Vornicu three-bet from the button to 2,400, the blinds folded, and the original raiser called.

The two players saw a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades} and the player in the cutoff checked. Vornicu bet and his lone opponent called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked.

The {A-Hearts} fell on the river and both players checked again. Vornicu showed {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} for two pair, aces and queens, and his opponent mucked.

Kate Hoang was in the cutoff and raised to 1,200. Erik Seidel was on the button and three-bet to 1,800. The small blind called, as did Hoang.

The flop was {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and action checked to Seidel. He bet 600 and was called by both opponents.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and again action checked to Seidel. He bet 1,200 and got two calls.

The river was the {10-Clubs} and action checked around.

Seat 2 showed {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Hoang tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Seidel's hand went into the muck and Hoang won the pot with two pairs.

Kate Hoang was the runner-up in last year's $3,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better (Event #64) at the WSOP for a cash of $182,281. Watch for her throughout the day.

Daniel Negreanu Takes Half

Negreanu held {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for top two pairs and no low, and his opponent showed {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for the nut low with forty-three, so they split the pot.
