Alessandro Borsa Gets Value from Jian Zhang

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

On one of the feature tables, Alessandro Borsa raised to 65,000 in early position, and Jian Zhang called on the button.

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Borsa continued for 90,000, and Zhang called. They both checked the {A-Clubs} turn, and the river was the {J-Spades}. Borsa bet 155,000, and after a long pause, Zhang called.

Borsa: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Zhang: {A-Spades}{4-Spades}

Borsa had the best kicker with his pair of aces to take the pot.

Kenny Hallaert

A few minutes ago, Kenny Hallaert doubled with {j-}{j-} against {a-}{q-} to get to around 1,350,000.

In this hand, Dario Sammartino opened to 90,000, and Daniel Sammarco three-bet all in for around 700,000. Kenny Hallaert was in the next position, and he four-bet all in for over a million. Sammartino folded and showed {6-}{6-}.

Hallaert: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Sammarco: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, giving Hallaert top set and eliminating Sammarco.

Massive Setback for Finger

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Martin Finger
Martin Finger

On an {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Wesley Pantling checked, and Martin Finger bet 150,000 before Pantling check-raised to 500,000. Finger called, and the action checked to him on the {9-Clubs} turn. Finger moved all in, and Pantling quickly called for 1,190,000 to create the following showdown.

Wesley Pantling: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Martin Finger: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Finger was drawing dead to win the pot, making the {7-Hearts} river a formality. Pantling scooped the four-million-chip pot when all was done and dusted.

Hwang Doubles Through Kelly

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There was a limp from early position, and Jae Hwang shoved all in from middle position for 870,000. JP Kelly was in the big blind and moved all in over the top, forcing the limper to fold pocket jacks face-up.

Hwang tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, and Kelly showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades}, giving Hwang a full house. Hwang found a double-up, and Kelly was left with just over 1,000,000 chips.

Hein Forces Luske Off

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

With a board of {7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} in front of them, Hans Joachim Hein checked, a player in early position bet 100,000, and Marcel Luske called. With action back on Hein, he raised to 350,000, and just Luske called. The turn was the {2-Spades}, and both players checked to the {8-Diamonds} on the river. Hein bet 575,000, and that sent Luske into the tank.

Not long passed before Luske folded and showed the table {a-}{q-}, hoping his opponent would oblige. Hein mucked, though, and was pushed the sizeable pot.

Rodrigo Portaleoni Runs Kings into Andrew Ostapchenko's Aces

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Rodrigo Portaleoni
Rodrigo Portaleoni

Andrew Ostapchenko four-bet to 600,000 from under the gun, and Rodrigo Portaleoni five-bet shoved from the small blind for about 1,800,000. Ostapchenko snap-called.

Portaleoni was at risk and well behind with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, up against Ostapchenko's {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}, and Portaleoni needed to run out backdoor quads to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, the turn was the {2-Diamonds}, and he was drawing dead to the {4-Spades} on the river.

Gyeongbyeong Lee Fades To Scoop a Monster

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Gyeongbyeong Lee
Gyeongbyeong Lee

From middle position, Sergey Tikhonov opened with a raise to 100,000. Action folded around to Gyeongbyeong Lee, who re-raised, making it 245,000 from the small blind. Next to act was Nima Salehizadeh in the big blind, and he called. Action was back to Tikhonov, and he folded.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and Lee took a look at Salehizadeh's stack, then put out a bet of 500,000. Salehizadeh moved all in, and Lee quickly called with a covering stack.

Lee: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Salehizadeh: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Salehizadeh had a flush draw, but he was still in bad shape against Lee's aces. Lee held on through the {8-Spades} turn and the {K-Hearts} river, and that awarded the monster pot to Lee, who moved very close to the top of the chip counts.
